3 System Operation 3.1 Boot Use the power adaptor to boot the NVR. There will be a beep sound which means the system is started. If the device is connected a monitor through VGA, it will display the OSD. 3.2 Shutdown Reset: The main interface has a reset button on the upper right corner; click the button to reset the device. Unplug the power adaptor, the device will stop working. In order to protect the device, Reset mode is recommended. 3.3 Basic Operation 3.3.1 Enter Menu Right click mouse to enter system menu(default password of NVR is :123456) 3.3.2 Menu Composition Menu is showed as below: 3 / 29
The menu is consisting of 5 functions: (1) Device Management (2) Local Configuration (3) Video Configuration (4) System Event (5) Video Playback 3.4 Device Management 3.4.1 Add device Click Device Manager to enter the device management as below: Choose the device in the Searched devices list and click Add button, maximum supports 4 units 720P IP cameras. 3.4.2 Device Management 4 / 29
The second item displays online status of configured devices. As long as the IP Camera is in normal operation, the router and NVR are under same status. IP camera will be online. If pick Start Record, the IP camera will be under recording status when it is added. Click any device to enter the camera setting as showed below: User can set the device name and IP address in this window. Note: Please stop previewing and recording before this operation. 3.4.3 Remote Configuration User can set PTZ control, CMOS parameter adjustment (brightness, contrast, sharpness, hue, saturation, etc.), flip (currently only supports upside down 5 / 29
3.5 Local Configuration Click Local Configuration to enter menu as below: 3.5.1 Network Setting Click Networking Setup item to enter operation interface: 6 / 29
The default network setting of NVR is LAN (fixed IP) configuration. If the NVR and IP camera in the same LAN, only need to configure the IP address and subnet mask. Gateway and DNS are not required. Click DHCP, User can choose DHCP to automatically obtain an IP address. Click DDNS & UPnP Settings button, user can set the parameters DDNS and UPnP switcher. 3.5.2 User Management Click User Manage to enter management interface as below: Click Create button to enter next menu and set the user name, password and right. 7 / 29
3.5.3 System Setting Click System setup to enter the operation interface as below: Support Language: Chinese, English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Maximum support resolution 1280 x 1024 8 / 29
3.5.4 System Tools Click Utility Setup to enter the system tools menu as below: 3.5.5 System Status User can check the device version, IP address, MAC address and HDD information. 9 / 29
3.6 Record Setting Click Record Setting to pop up the following window as below: User can set record by time, maximum 50 rules (each page displays 10 rules). Click one rule, it will display the record device and time range on the right side (the time range in green is the setting time. 3.6.1 Recording Regulation settings Double click one recording rule in the Event setup to enter the recording rule setting. Note: User must pick the Normal in Record event type to enable the recording rule. Start time and Select device can be set. 10 / 29
3.6.2 Holidays Setting Double-click Holiday Setup in Event setup interface to set the holidays: The date with red border is the selected holiday. 3.7 System Events Click System Event in the main menu to pop up the Event Search window: 11 / 29
Click Search Condition button to enter the condition setting: 3.8 Replay Click Replay in the main menu to enter the replay window: The searching condition only supports Time Search. User can enter System Event to check the event searching. User can choose start time and device of the replay. Click OK to enter the replay interface. 12 / 29
Replay time is displayed on the screen. User can adjust the time to and range. There are Pause, Stop, Slow and Fast Forward on the top. Single channel maximum supports 8x fast forward. 13 / 29
4 Web Browser Preview Operation 4.1 Network Connection WAN is defined as public IP and LAN is private IP. If your IP is in the following scope, then the IP is private IP: 10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255, 172.16.0.0-172.31.255.255, 192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255. LAN connection: The user must under the same network environment and the IP must be in the same subnet. The connection is as below: WAN connection: IP camera connects the Internet through the router and sets the IP as private. Users need to use the forwarding rules to connect the IP camera. The connection is as below: 14 / 29
4.2 Install ActiveX Step1: Open IE browser and input the IP address of the NVR (Default IP is 192.168.1.200). Step2: Input login User name and Password in the blank (Default User name: admin, Password: 123456). Step3: For the first time preview through IE, the system will prompt user to install ActiveX. Click and download the file and install it according to the prompting 15 / 29
Step4: Refresh the browser after the installation. It will enter the preview image 4.3 IE Browser Operation 4.3.1 Language User can choose language in the top right corner of image. 4.3.2 Menu System menu is showed as below: 1 Preview 2 Replay 3 Log 4 NVR Config 5 Remote Config 16 / 29
4.4 Preview After the OCX is installed successfully, the preview image will be displayed on the home page. 4.5 Replay Replay the record file of NVR on PC. 4.5.1 Replay Control 1. Stop Replay 2. Fast forward 1 min 3. Fast forward 10 mins 4. Fast backward 1 min 5. Fast backward 1 min 6. Capture 4.5.2 Progress bar User can drag the progress bar to change the replay schedule. The blue progress bar shows the record file area. If the file is replayed to the end, it will automatically start next record file till the reply time reaches the end time. 4.5.3 Replay Area Area 3 is the replay area. User can double-click it to enlarge the image. 4.5.4 Recording Searching Area 4 displays the replay status and recording searching conditions. 1. Status Display the replay channel and time 2. Channel Choose the searching channel (only supports single channel replay) 17 / 29
3. Time Setting Choose date, start and end time 4. Searching Start searching according to the above conditions. If there is a record file, it will start reply. If not, it will display no record file. 4.6 Log User can search the system events of the NVR 4.6.1 Searching Interface The interface includes the following parts 1. Total events 2. Total pages 3. Current page 4. Skip to the first page 5. Skip to the previous page 6. Skip to the next page 7. Skip to the last page 8. Skip to the specified page 4.6.2 Events Display The interface includes the following parts 1. Events number 2. Start time 3. Event type 4. Channel 5. 4.6.3 Searching Conditions The interface includes the following parts 1. Log type 2. Channel 3. Time setting 4. Start searching 4.7 NVR Management NVR management includes Local setting, Device, Network, DDNS & UPnP, Time settings, System tools, User and Device Information. 4.7.1 Local setting User can set login option, Video flow and display mode, Login option: User can set auto-login. There s no need to input password for the next login. Display mode: User can choose 1 or 4sH display 4.7.2 Device Management It displays online device, selected device status, add/delete device and enable recording 19 / 29
1. Selected Device: Display the online and not added device 2. Added device list: Display the added device 3. Add/delete device: ' ' add device,' ' delete device, 'Refresh' refresh the NVR device status 4. Record: Pick the 'Record' box to enable record and stop recording 4.7.3 Network Setting Set the IP camera network parameters. The default HTTP port is 80 20 / 29
4.7.4 DDNS Set DDNS parameters which supports Dyndns.org 3322.org and other domain service 4.7.5 Time Setting Support Manual setting, Sync with computer time, Sync with NTP Time zone setting. If the user want to adjust the time to '2012-6-11, 09:30:30', input '2012-6-11' in the first blank, '09' in the second blank and '30' in the third and fourth blank, then click 'OK'. Choose 'Sync with computer time' and click 'OK'. If user wants to choose 'Sync with NTP', it needs to input the NTP server name or IP address, and then click 'OK'. 21 / 29
4.7.6 System Tools It includes Reboot, Factory default, HDD format, Reset system event, Backup configuration file, Update configuration file and System update. 4.7.7 User Management The current NVR version only supports one user. It can be log in repeatedly. User can change the user name and password. 22 / 29
4.7.8 Device Information User can check the device information such as device version, IP address etc. 23 / 29
4.8 Remote Configuration It includes Motion detection, Video cover and Video setting. 4.8.1 Motion Detection User can choose the online device and enable motion detection switcher. Motion detection level is adjustable. '0' is the highest level and '5' is the lowest. Default area is full screen. User can left-click the mouse to delete the undesired area. Click 'OK' to enable motion detection. 24 / 29
4.8.2 Video Cover User can choose the online device and enable video cover switcher (maximum support 4 area). Left-click and drag the mouse. It will display the green covered area. Click 'OK' to enable it. If user wants to delete the area, choose the area first and click the mouse. The green covered area will disappear; click 'OK' to enable it. Set 4 areas orderly. Choose 'Off' to close all the areas 25 / 29
