EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS IC-1600 Intelligent Controller The IC-1600 Intelligent Controller is a fully intelligent panel that has a complete database on board. It operates in conjunction with the Access Gold and Access Security Integrator software applications. It can make intelligent access control decisions and store transactions until a scheduled time or when communications have been restored. It supports RS-485, RS-232 direct, dial-up or TCP/IP via a thin server. When fully populated with the MEMEX Memory Expansion Board, it can store up to 30,000 card holders, 30,000 transactions or some combination of the two. The IC-1600 has 16 channels that may be expanded using the CE-1600 Channel Expander to support up to 255 devices. It connects to a serial port at the computer. The maximum distance from the computer to the IC-1600 is approximately 100 feet. Each channel consists of two twisted pair current loops (20 milliamp). System devices, such as card readers, are connected with Enable positive (E+), Enable negative (E-), Data positive (D+) and Data negative (D-) using 22 gauge twisted cabling with shield. Note that stranded type wire is best suited for installation. The shield for each cable run should be connected to earth ground at only one end. The end not connected should be trimmed back and insulated to prevent accidental grounding. The IC-1600 is tested and approved for the Standard UL294 for Access Control Systems Units. Size: 12 1/4" x 14 1/4" x 4 1/4" Power Requirements: 115VAC @ 60 Hz, 1A or 230VAC @50/60 Hz,.5A Power Cord: 9 feet Computer Interface Cables: 9 feet CE-1600 Channel Expander The CE-1600 Channel Expander increases your system's capabilities when used in conjunction with the IC-1600 panel. It allows up to 16 devices to be connected to one host system channel on the IC-1600. When all 16 channels are multiplexed, up to 256 devices may be controlled. This expands the capacity of your system while reducing network wiring. The Channel Expander is compatible with Access Gold, Access Security Integrator and other similar applications. Connections for battery back-up are also provided. It requires a 4 wire connection to the host. This cable should be 22 gauge shielded cable, consisting of 2 twisted pair. The CE-1600 is tested and approved for the Standard UL294 for Access Control Systems Units. Size: 12 1/4" x 14 1/4" x 4 1/4" Power Requirements: 115VAC @ 60 Hz, 1A or 230VAC @50/60 Hz,.5A

UP-2000 Universal Panel The UP-2000 Universal Panel works in conjunction with Access Gold and ASI 2000 Access Security Integrator software applications. It is a stand-alone controller that could potentially control up to 8 card readers through its hotpluggable expansion module slots. The UP-2000 can be connected to the host by RS-232 direct or dial-up and by TCP/IP with an on-board network card. Multiple panels may be connected in an RS-232 direct mode by using a COM port expander. A null modem cable (6-ft.) is supplied as standard for RS-232 direct connection. When fully populated, the UP-2000 can handle up to 100,000 card holders and 150,000 transactions. The UP-2000 panel supports Firmware Downloads in the field. The UP-2000 supports the following device modules: DW2 Dual Wiegand Module, MM-32 Monitor Module, CM-16 Control Module and MCM-168 Monitor Control Module. Size: 12 1/4" x 14 1/4" x 4 1/4" Power Requirements: 12VDC, 4A linear Power Cord: 9 feet Computer Interface Cable: 6 foot null modem cable, 9 pin DW2 Dual Wiegand Module The DW-2 Dual Wiegand Module provides access control functions for up to two card readers. It is plugged into one of four open expansion slots on the UP-2000 Universal Panel. The DW2 is designed to interface with Access Gold TM and ASI 2000 via the UP-2000 Universal Panel. Any card technology (proximity, bar code, magnetic stripe, Wiegand, etc.) using Wiegand data output, may potentially be used with the DW-2. This includes the TC-100 Touch Card Reader and PR- 100 PIN (keypad) Reader. The DW-2 is capable of operating with only a PIN Reader, only a Wiegand output card reader or both. It also supports variable time delay "go" and alarm shunting.
