Are sealed in a rugged, weatherised polycarbonate enclosure designed to withstand harsh environments as well as provide a high degree of vandal resistance. This allows reliable performance anywhere. Recognise over 137 billion unique codes. Are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for life from date of shipment. 2

3 ProxPoint Proximity Card Reader The HID ProxPoint proximity reader is so small and inconspicuous, you hardly know it s there. In addition to its small, attractive design, all of the reader electronics are potted making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. The ProxPoint reader is available with either Wiegand interface or Clock-and-data magnetic stripe interface. The 5-volt capacity allows existing swipe-type access control installations to be easily upgraded to proximity technology, simply by changing the existing reader heads and cards. The Clock-anddata magnetic stripe version reads all HID proximity cards and outputs data in a Track II format. No rewiring or pulling of new cable is necessary. ProxPoint readers are designed to be unobtrusive and to mount directly on metal. When a proximity card is presented to the reader, the red LED flashes green. On reader power-up, an internal self-test routine checks and verifies the set-up configuration and initialises the reader operation. An additional external loop-back test allows for the reader outputs and inputs to be verified without the use of additional test equipment. The ProxPoint reader interfaces with all existing Wiegand protocol access control systems. ProxPoint readers output data in Wiegand format, plus optional Clock-and-data magnetic stripe format. The Clock-and-data magnetic stripe output interfaces with systems that originally read Track II magnetic stripe data using TTL level outputs of data, clock, and card present. Typical maximum* read range : ProxCard II card up to 9.5 cm ISOProx II card up to 5.8 cm ProxKey II key tag up to 4.3 cm ProxCard Plus card up to 3 cm * Depending on local installation conditions. 4 MiniProx Proximity Card Reader The MiniProx proximity card reader boasts a slim design to match any decor. The attractive design allows the MiniProx reader to be mounted indoors or out. A new standard feature on the MiniProx reader is potting of all reader electronics, making this reader weatherised. The MiniProx reader is available with either Wiegand interface or Clock-and-data magnetic stripe interface. The 5-volt capacity allows existing swipe-type access control installations to be easily upgraded to proximity technology, simply by changing the existing reader heads and cards. The Clock-and-data magnetic stripe version reads all HID proximity cards and outputs the data in a Track II format. No rewiring or pulling of new cable is necessary. MiniProx readers are designed to be unobtrusive and to mount directly on metal such as door mullions. When a proximity card is presented to the reader, the red LED flashes green and the beeper sounds. The multicolour LED and beeper can also be controlled individually by the host system. On reader power-up, an internal self-test routine checks and verifies the set-up configuration, determines the internal or external control of the LED and beeper, and initialises the reader operation. An additional external loop-back test allows for the reader outputs and inputs to be verified without the use of additional test equipment. The MiniProx reader interfaces with all existing Wiegand protocol access control systems. MiniProx readers output data in Wiegand format, plus optional Clock-and-data magnetic stripe format. The Clock-and-data magnetic stripe output interfaces with systems that originally read Track II magnetic stripe data using TTL level outputs of data, clock, and card present. 5 ProxPro Proximity Card Reader The ProxPro proximity card reader combines all of the electronics usually found in two separate packages into a single, architecturally attractive enclosure that mounts to a standard single-gang electrical box (U.S.A. Version). With its inherently weatherproof design, the reader is easily mounted either indoors or out. The ProxPro reader offers Wiegand protocol interface compatibility with all standard access control systems, plus optional RS232 and RS422 serial interfaces. To provide an additional level of security, the ProxPro reader is the first to offer an optional, fully integrated personal identification number keypad, weatherised for outdoor applications. Mounting holes fit standard U.S.A. single-gang switch boxes (vertically mounted) to simplify installation. When mounted directly to metal, a selectable jumper setting provides for improved performance. The ProxPro reader interfaces with all existing Wiegand protocol access control systems. ProxPro readers output data in Wiegand format, plus optional RS232 and RS422 serial interfaces. The ProxPro reader includes a tamper switch to provide electronic notification of reader tampering. The ProxPro reader is the first proximity design available with an optional, integrated, weatherised keypad. The ProxPro reader keypad interfaces with the host system either by sending the keypad data over the data output lines or via a direct connection to the host keypad interface. This offers an additional level of security by allowing the use of a personal identification number (PIN). Typical maximum* read range : ProxCard II card up to 23 cm ISOProx II card up to 15 cm ProxKey II key tag up to 7.6 cm ProxCard Plus card up to 7.6 cm * Depending on local installation conditions. 6 ThinLine II Proximity Card Reader The ThinLine II proximity card reader provides performance and reliability with a low-profile appearance. Housed in a newly designed two-piece enclosure, the ThinLine II reader is potted for weather and hazard proofing. This industry-standard sized USA switch plate enclosure eases installation and maintenance with the use of replaceable covers. The ThinLine II reader is available with either a Wiegand interface or a Clock-and-data magnetic stripe interface. The Clock-and-data interface version reads HID proximity cards programmed with magnetic stripe Track II data as well as standard Wiegand data. ThinLine II readers are designed to mount on a single-gang electrical box for easy installation. The readers can be mounted directly on metal with minimal impact on the read range performance. The ThinLine II reader interfaces with all existing Wiegand protocol access control systems. ThinLine II readers output data in Wiegand format, plus optional Clock-and-data magnetic stripe format. 7 The Noise Tolerant MaxiProx Proximity Card Reader The Noise Tolerant (NT) MaxiProx Reader provides a significant improvement in long range reading consistency. New signal processing techniques incorporated in this reader provide a high tolerance to burst and other transient types of ambient RF interference. This makes the NT MaxiProx reader ideal for installations incorporating parking control, or where special consideration is needed to facilitate access for the physically challenged. The NT MaxiProx reader provides up to 76 cm of consistent read range. Mount reader on non-metallic surfaces for optimal read range performance. Audio-visual indication: when a proximity card is presented to the reader, the red LED flashes green and the beeper sounds. The multicolour LED and beeper can also be controlled individually by the host system. On reader power-up, an internal self-test routine checks and verifies the set-up configuration, determines the internal or external control of the LED and beeper, and initialises the reader operation. The NT MaxiProx reader interfaces with all existing Wiegand protocol access control systems. The NT MaxiProx reader includes a tamper switch to provide electronic notification of reader tampering.
