Addiction Recovery Definition of Celebrate Recovery www.celebraterecovery.com Celebrate Recovery is a biblically based 12-step program that provides a safe place to heal within a Christ-centered community. Unlike secular 12-step groups, Celebrate Recovery believes true healing comes from the One and only Higher Power, Jesus Christ, and seeks to offer people freedom from a wide range of issues: Broken relationships, Co-dependency, Food issues, Anger Depression Divorce Substance abuse Chemical dependency Sexual brokenness Each week will consist of a meeting with worship, either a lesson based on the 12 Steps and 8 Biblical Principles (from the Sermon on the Mount), or a personal recovery testimonial from someone about their own hurt, habit or hang-up. Then everyone will have a chance to share in small gender-divided groups. Lastly, there is a connection time.
