ABOUT OUR COURSE Design is a universal visual language which communicates subtle or overt messages to the end user. Good design enhances life. The course consists of 12 comprehensive modules and 12 corresponding interactive assignments, which are designed to be read sequentially. The interactive assignments will guide you through the process required to successfully design a residential space, leading to your qualification as a professional interior designer. It is through participation and interaction that you will gain confidence to design for clients. During the diploma course you will be personally tutored by one of our experienced designers, who will take you on a fascinating journey as you learn to observe and and appreciate every aspect of interior design. HOW TO USE OUR COURSE When you enrol with The Interior Design Institute you will automatically receive your login details to the secure Student Site so that you can access all the information you need to get started. You will also immediately be assigned to your tutor who will assist and guide you every step of the way. The Student Site is where you will find all of your course materials, including the first 2 of the 12 modules, and where you can interact with your tutor and Student Support staff. They will be available to guide you every step of the way. As you work through each module and submit the corresponding assignment, you will gain access to the next module. Your tutor will assess your assignment and give valuable feedback on your ideas and creative solutions for each design brief. At the end of this course you will have designed a residential space complete with lighting, fabrics, colour and furniture that will become part of your professional portfolio. All of your assignments are completed online and only basic computer skills are required, so don t worry if you are a complete beginner.
