Marketing Campaigns Use campaigns to send an email blast out to a list of contacts in the system. Create a new Campaign To create a new Campaign, click into the Marketing module. Then, click on Campaigns button. You will see the screen below. Click on Create Campaign button. Campaign Editor will appear.
Here is its description: Name: Enter a name for your Campaign. Marketing List: select the marketing list of people you wish to send the campaign to. From Name: the default name that the campaign will appear as coming
from. If populated in the Marketing List, the name will auto populate in the campaign. Otherwise, enter or overwrite the name. From Address: the default email address that the campaign will appear as coming from. If populated in the Marketing List, the email address will auto populate in the campaign. Otherwise, enter or overwrite the email. Send On: the date and time you would like the emails to begin sending out. Subject: Enter the subject line of the email. If you are selecting from a template, select the template from the available dropdown Enable Tracking: Check the box to track when recipients open an email or click any links within the email. Support HTML: If checked, the email will be sent in both HTML and text format. Uncheck to only send a text format email. Select a template: Here you can select email template for your campaign. Attachments: Add any attachments. If you select an existing template, the Text content and/or HTML content will pre-populate. If you are not using an existing template, you can create the email content. For the body of the email, you can enter Text only and/or HTML. To enter Text only content, click on the Text Content tab and type in the text. Click on the HTML Content tab to create an HTML email. You can type directly into the box and customize the look and feel using the available buttons, or you can copy existing HTML code using the </> button to view and edit the HTML code of the body. Use Merge Tags in the body of your email to send a more personalized email. A merge tag pulls dynamic information from the CRM into the email. Add a field from the CRM into the template by using the Field Name (not the display name) of the email within brackets. Note: the footer set by the administrator in the Global Settings will be appended to the end of your email. When you are ready, you can either click the Save and Schedule button to schedule your campaign or Send Test Email.
If you choose to send test email, after you click on corresponding button there will be an option to select either one of contacts/leads or specific email. Sending Campaign Using Personal SMTP Settings There is an option to send campaign using email settings specific for campaign creator. To send a campaign using different email address you need to go to your profile settings.
Then navigate to Email Configuration. And select Personal SMTP from drop down list. Fill necessary SMTP configuration details, choose signature and click save. If you do not know your personal SMTP configuration, please check with your IT. Campaign State: Pause or Restart Campaign You can see current state of all your campaigns in Marketing/Campaigns section: If campaign emails are being sent you can always pause it. To pause a campaign, hover your cursor over campaign and click on it. You will see it running in the right upper corner. To pause campaign click on grayed out Paused button which will become active.
You will see, that campaign status changed from Sending to Paused. If you would like to resume campaign sending you can always do it in similar way. Click on paused campaign. Then click on grayed out Running button.
It will become active and you will see notification that campaign status has been changed. Campaign Results The Campaign detail view shows your campaign results. Overall Campaign Performance: Displays the Unique CTR (click through rates) and Open rates for this campaign. Emails in this Campaign: The number of emails sent to the recipients in this list. Email Recipients: Displays the recipients of the email campaign, the current status of the email, and any actions/events in regards to the email (Sent, Bounced, Opened, Clicked etc).
