MDUs combine technology with functionality to deliver excellent value. The MDU displays messages on a single line with a fixed character size. The VMDU is the flagship of the TDS moving message display product line. VMDUs display variable font sizes to show either single or multiple lines of information. This control offers maximum flexibility for viewing distance and display requirements. All TDS displays feature industry exclusives such as 2-way communication and poll-on-demand features. The MDUs and VMDUs give the user a variety of color options by utilizing TDS s patented 11-color LED technology. Panel Display Units Panel Display Units are multi-line displays capable of maximizing the amount of information displayed without sacrificing visibility. Panels are available in nine models and two character heights, ensuring a fit to match any requirement. Overview 9903 Panel display units display multiple lines of information and QuickCOM Enterprise software offers two unique control features for even more flexibility. Sub-panels and optional Channels further expand the operational capability of the panel by allowing more information to be viewed on a single panel. Figure 1: Channels and Sub-panels Modem or LAN/WAN LAN/WAN connection 9903 Directly connected PDUs Figure 2: A variety of connections to meet your needs Sub-panels Sub-panels allow the display to be broken into separate windows. Information is then directed to a specific sub-panel for display. This data can be updated and scrolled without disrupting other subpanels (see figure 1). Channels Channels are like channels on a television set. QuickCOM Enterprise can establish multiple monitoring screens, only one of which is actively displayed. The remainder are maintained in the background and can be called forward by the operator or cycled through on a timed rotation basis. In addition, alert messages can automatically trigger the priority of the appropriate screen and cause it to be displayed (see figure 1).
