General Information CAID Industries specializes in diversification. The extraordinary variety of the work we perform attests to the can-do attitude that permeates our organization. Materials we work with range from stainless steel, titanium, and duplex steels, to structural fiberglass, copper, plastics, and mesh. Projects range from art and architectural challenges like the World s largest paper airplane and World s largest vanity mirror, to industrial pressure vessels, barges, hoisting equipment, and much more. Our client base is truly international with products shipping to South America, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and other international destinations. Our range of capabilities includes design/build responsibility, field erection services, custom fabrication to customer standards, large scale manufacturing, and extensive mining technology and services. Let us put our capabilities to work for you. A Architectural Artistic Design Build Fabrication of Architectural Elements INNOVATION THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. I M MT Industrial Design Build Fabrication of Industrial Plant work Manufacturing Large Volume Manufacturing Prototypes Mining Technology & Service Cathodes Lift Devices & Tank House Services In early 2007, CAID Industries added our Heavy Fabrication Building to the campus and significantly increased our ability to handle large, heavy, complex projects. Its two (2) 30 ton overhead cranes have a 60 span and 175 of travel, a 28 hook height, and can be operated individually or in tandem. The 60 wide tri-stack doors at each end of the building allow for unimpeded movement of very large vessels and structures throughout the building. The 20 and 30 side doors allow for daily material handling using our 36,000# forklift or 40 ton hydro crane. The adjacent low bay is used for indoor storage and light manufacturing. If you have not taken a shop tour lately we strongly urge you to take the time to see how we can put our facilities to work for you. You are always welcome and we look forward to your visit. 2275 East Ganley Road Tucson, Arizona 85706 t 520.294.3126 f 520.294.8180 www.caid.com

Mirror Sculpture Architectural A Paper Airplane, Scottsdale DesignBuildArtistic It requires a great deal of experience to support and guide the creative process so that innovators and artists sense that their vision is being nurtured. The inherent tension between budgets, ambitions, and quality demand flexibility supported by engineering to create realistic options resulting in stunning projects. CAID has the depth, experience, and aptitude to assemble the talent necessary to complete the most demanding architectural or artistic feature. World s Largest Paper Airplane, 108 long fabricated from anodized aluminum Hairpin Art Sculpture, Phoenix The City of Phoenix contracted with CAID Industries to provide the structural design, fabrication and installation of this Mirror Sculpture by the world renowned artist Louise Bourgeois. Titled Art is a Guaranty of Sanity, this 40 tall aluminum clad frame includes LED letters in the yoke which are reflected in the polished stainless steel mirror, and is mounted on top of a 65 pole in the atrium of the new Phoenix Convention Center. The ramada structure which CAID fabricated and installed is located 90 in the air and covers an area ¾ of an acre with stainless steel mesh. The mesh significantly reduces the summer heat striking the courtyard while the louver configuration allows a breeze to pass through. Trusses span in excess of 180 and were shipped to the jobsite in halves for field welding prior to installation. The growing trend toward design-build and project-management contracts recognizes this value. CAID is heavily involved in major industrial projects around the world and we look forward to contributing our expertise to your demanding project. Goodrich Aerospace designs and builds evacuation slides for aircraft, including the new AirBus A380. They utilize CAID to design and build their aircraft mock-ups which must meet demanding FAA conformance requirements and provide rapid change-out on test fixtures. Goodrich provides 3D models of the complex aircraft skins and CAID provides the engineering and fabrication required to produce the work. Goodrich Aerospace Mock-Up
Industrial I FabricationIndustrialPlantWork The largest Telescope Mirrors in the world are built at the University of Arizona. In order to make the precise measurements required to inspect them, the mirror lab procured a test tower 90 tall, configured to fit inside an existing structure. The design was based on the frequency of the tower, rather than the stresses in the tower, in order to facilitate the extremely small measurements which need to be taken. CAID utilized a laser tracker in order to fabricate the complex geometries of these knuckle sections, which assured a smooth fit on site and maintained the tight installation tolerances which were required of this unique structure. CAID builds pressure vessels, tanks, hoppers and ducting for a variety of worldwide industries and applications. They can be designed and fabricated to ASME section VIII Div 1 specifications.
