1. Open up Citrix https://apps.unsw.edu.au/citrix/xenapp/auth/login.aspx 2. Login in using your normal network password 3. Click on HE Desktop If you have any problems getting to this stage read the information in this IT webpage: https://www.it.unsw.edu.au/staff/online_apps/apps_unsw/ 4. Click on the start menu at the bottom of the screen [sometimes you have to expand the borders to unhide the start menu.. Page 1 of 9: July 2014: Version 1
5. Click on All programs, then choose HE PROD. This opens up another login screen. 6. You should have received login details from having lodged the access request (otherwise it is your normal network login or usual citrix login, otherwise you need to ring 51333 or email itservicecentre@unsw.edu.au and show them the error message you receive at this screen). After login you will then receive the below screen: 7. Choose Go, Develop Workforce, then Administer Training as per below screenshot: Page 2 of 9: July 2014: Version 1
8. Then choose Report, Attendance List and, if this is the first time you are running an attendance sheet, choose ADD 9. After your choose ADD, you will receive the following: 10. Enter your initials for the run control ID in lower case e.g. ml [next time you go to run this report choose update/display instead and enter your initials] Page 3 of 9: July 2014: Version 1
11. Enter the ERM course details as follows: [Type a quote from the document or the summary of an interesting point. You can position the text box anywhere in the document. Use the Drawing Tools tab to change the formatting of the pull quote text box.] 12. Then press the traffic light icon to direct the report to Run, as per the below: 13. You will then receive a pop-up screen that looks like this. Select Server for the Run Location and Ensure server is set to PSUNX Select file as the Output Destination and /tmp/ as file/printer Once your screen looks like this Click OK Page 4 of 9: July 2014: Version 1
14. This directs the report to be run (which you pick up in myunsw). I also press save here which remembers the detail of the course for the next time you want to run the report). If you run several different reports you can select different run control IDs e.g. mlerm (for this report) and erm1223 for a different report [but keep a record of such IDs!!] Now close out of citrix. The report takes about 15mins to appear in myunsw: 15. Login to https://my.unsw.edu.au/ 16. Sign On as usual 17. Enter your normal network password: 18. Click on My Staff Profile 19. 20. This directs you to all reports you have requested. Click on the training report to open or save. The training report appears as a.dat file. If you have already associated.dat files with Excel the report should open up directly in Excel. If you have not, then follow the steps from Step 20 onwards (which you will only have to do once). Associating.dat files with Excel 21. Click on Open at the below prompt: 22. You will receive the following message to which you should again choose Open Page 6 of 9: July 2014: Version 1
23. You will then receive the following message. Choose Select a Program as per below screenshot: 24. You then need to find Microsoft Excel, which if it is not listed you will need to find it in the Microsoft Office folder. Choose Browse to hunt it down. Click on the folder as per below 25. 26. Then choose the Excel.exe folder (unless you see Excel.xls directly at this point) 27. The choose Microsoft Excel Page 8 of 9: July 2014: Version 1
