Broker Registration Guide for TrustFunds Authentication A- B- C Registration Steps 1-2- 3-4 Broker Authentication 1. From the TrustFunds website homepage, click Get Started Now to begin your Authentication process. 2. Authentication (A): Enter the MLS Firm ID for your company. 3. Authentication (B): Confirm you are authenticating on behalf of your company. If this is not your company, please try again and/or verify your Firm ID with the MLS.
4. Authentication (C): The email and password you enter here creates your login to TrustFunds. Access to TrustFunds is via the link in the email message you will receive and will allow you to view broker- specific fees and begin the Registration Process. If after viewing your Broker fees you do not want to complete the Registration Process, you may simply stop. 5. An email is sent to the address you submitted. Please check your email and click the Log In to TrustFunds button to authenticate your company and begin the Broker Registration process. Page 2
6. Broker Login: Enter the email address and password you created in the Authentication process. 7. Upon your initial login to TrustFunds, you will see all fees associated with your Broker account, along with the registration steps. Four steps take you through the Broker Registration Process. Broker Registration TrustFunds is a month- to- month service with no contract term and no termination fee. Click the buttons to view and print the TrustFunds Service Agreement, the echeck Vendor Service Agreement and the Terms & Conditions of Use. Step 1: Click I agree to both Service Agreements and Terms & Conditions. Page 4
Step 2: Broker must complete the application required by the echeck vendor to open the electronic ACH account. The application requires information for both the primary trust account and operating account. In the event your company has more than one trust account you will complete information for additional trust accounts in Step 3. Broker has the ability to Save a partially completed form and return to complete it at a later time. TrustFunds is not notified until the completed form is Submitted.. If Broker has more than one Trust Account, select Yes here to set up multiple.. Page 5
Step 3: Upload required documentation to ensure Earnest Money payments are deposited to the correct account. Watch training videos anytime its convenient!. Note: If Broker selected Yes for multiple Trust Accounts in Step 2; then Step 3 gives the Broker the ability to add additional trust account names, routing and account numbers; as well as the ability to upload the required supporting documentation. Step 4: TrustFunds will process test transactions debiting and crediting the Trust Account(s) for a few cents each. TrustFunds monthly fee is debited to the Operating Account immediately upon the activation of your account. BROKER ACTION REQUIRED: Provide Bank Codes to your bank officer to ensure your Operating Account and your Trust Account(s) ALLOWS ACH DEBITS from both TrustFunds and the echeck vendor. Broker also receives an email to inform them of test transactions; monthly fee debit and Action Required to prepare for debits to accounts. When the test transactions are completed, Broker receives an email notice to log back into TrustFunds and confirm the test amounts to their Trust Account(s). Page 7
Step 4 (continued): TrustFunds will send an email notice to the Broker when the test transactions have occurred with instructions to log into TrustFunds, go to Step 4 of Broker Registration and enter the test amount(s) to complete the activation of their account. Note: If Multiple Trust Accounts were set up, Broker must enter all bank authentication amounts at one time; they cannot do only one at a time. When the test transaction amounts in Step 4 are Submitted the broker trust account(s) are activated and the Broker is directed to their company Profile to customize their settings. Page 8
Broker Profile Set- Up The Profile for each Broker lists access information to the Virtual Terminal, allows the Broker to select preferences for status email notifications, specify who will receive email notifications regarding Broker Over Limit Authorization and display Broker fees. Page 9
