The Cole Smoot Memorial Scholarship - March 15, 2014 In memory of the sacrifice of the Smoot family, The Cole Smoot scholarship of $500 will be given each year to two teens within Clark County who exhibit the knowledge and behavior of the importance of prescription drug abuse prevention. The winners will be chosen by a panel of impartial experts in the field and will be asked to share his/her works publically and within specific speaking sessions. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Tecumseh Education Foundation Scholarship March 20, 2014 All Tecumseh High School seniors are encouraged to apply. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or on the Guidance web page. The Herman D. Brosey Scholarship March 20, 2014 This scholarship is for a Tecumseh High School senior with a 3.0 GPA or better, who demonstrates an interest in agriculture. This may include, but is not limited to, 4_H or Vo Ag participation, or an agriculture major or related field (i.e. vet, extension agent, ag business, etc.) The applicant must write a paragraph or two on his/her interest in agriculture. The Merrill Wells Golf Scholarship March 21, 2014 The criteria for the Merrill Wells scholarship are academics, golf activities (sportsmanship, commitment, and excellence), and citizenship (moral character, attitude, and community involvement). Sigma Alpha Scholarship March 21, 2014 The applicant must be a young woman, presently enrolled in high school entering a college or a university program. She must reside in Clark County. Appenzeller Scholarship Fund March 21, 2014 The Appenzeller Endowment Fund is offering a scholarship to a deserving student who is of good moral character and who wishes to pursue a career in the ENGINEERING disciplines at an accredited college. Students must be residents of Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, or Shelby Counties in Ohio. A minimum 3.0 gpa is required. Pearl A. Dale and Audrey Parker Scholarship Fund- March 21, 2014 The Pearl A. Dale and Audrey Parker Scholarship was established in 1990. It honors sisters Pearl Dale and Audrey Parker who were both Dayton Public School teachers. Both women earned bachelor s degrees from Kentucky State College and master s degrees from Miami University. The fund provides scholarship assistance to African- American high school seniors from the Dayton region who are planning to attend an accredited two- or four- year college or university. To be eligible, applicant must have a 2.5 GPA. The award must be used toward the tuition and other related educational expenses at an accredited two or four- year college. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. *******Kiwanis Foundation of Springfield Scholarship April 4, 2014 Criteria used for the scholarship includes academic ability, the potential for academic work at the college level, and service activities that benefit the applicant's school, fellow students, church, nonprofit organizations, or other members of the community. Fairborn Art Association Scholarship April 10, 2014 The FAA has two $1000 scholarships available for graduating seniors who are planning to pursue art in college. Southwestern OH Chapter, Distinguished Flying Cross Society April 14, 2014 The Southwestern Ohio Chapter of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society will award three $500 scholarships to area high school graduating seniors. Meyers Memorial Scholarship April 15, 2014 The Ohio Association of litter Prevention and Recycling Professionals (OALPRP) is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student form Ohio.
