General Information Academic Program The first presentation will start at 8:45 am Tuesday June 17 th, and the last presentation will end at 4:30 pm Wednesday June 18 th. See workshop program for details. Each presentation will last 40 minutes. Following each presentation, there will be 15 minutes for discussion. The academic program will take place at the University of Stavanger, Arne Rettedals hus in room G101. Hotel Accommodation All participants will stay at Skagen Brygge Hotel, which is centrally located in Stavanger and only about 15 minutes taxi ride from the University of Stavanger Campus. Please see enclosed map. When you arrive at the airport, the easiest thing is to take a taxi directly to the hotel (about 20 minutes). Hotel address: Skagenkaien 28-30 Hotel phone number: 51 850000 Transportation Two reserved Maxi Taxis will pick you up every morning at 8:15 a.m. outside the Skagen Brygge Hotel. The Maxi Taxis will bring the workshop participants to Campus. The two MaxiTaxis will also return you to the Hotel after the workshop at 4.45 p.m. both days. Hiking trip to the Pulpit Rock, June 16th We are very happy that so many of you are interested in the hiking trip. The program for the day is as follows: 09.15 Please meet me outside Skagen Brygge Hotel. We will make a short walk to the Ferry, which will bring us to Tau in 40 minutes. 10.15 Our bus will bring us to the Pulpit Rock Mountain Lodge, approximately 30 minutes drive, where we will start our hike to the magnificent Pulpit Rock 600m above sea level. The view is splendid. During the hike we will enjoy a brown bag lunch provided by us. Please bring your own water. 15:45 Dinner at the Pulpit Rock Mountain Lodge. 17:15 Leaving the Mountain Lodge and the bus will bring us to the ferry. 17:55 The ferry leaves from Tau, returning to Stavanger 18.30. You must bring outfit for slightly changing weather conditions, god shoes, a hat (if very sunny), and your own bottle of water. We shall provide you with a brown bag lunch, to enjoy in the nature, before we walk back to the lodge for a hot meal. Best regards Kirsti
