IMPORTANT to encourage the students to SPEAK ENGLISH as much as possible in your home. To pick students up by car when they arrive, if a taxi is needed and arranged by the school this will be deducted from the end payment. Also to drop them off on the day of departure. IMPORTANT to ACCOMPANY YOUR STUDENTS to and from school on the bus their FIRST DAY of classes. They should be able to take the bus alone from day two and for the rest of their stay. VERY IMPORTANT to get the students MOBILE NUMBERS from them on their arrival (this is in case any students get lost, so we are able to contact them quickly). IMPORTANT to INVOLVE THE STUDENTS in a family activity on the host family day, either going for a walk to Ferry Meadows or a game of football, rounder s, badminton, tennis, or board games or computer games with the family, or even going bowling (as we stipulate it is important for the students have a good experience with both the school and the families they will be staying with). It is VITAL that you provide a CLEAN, TIDY ROOM, with adequate facilities, ie, a bed (not camp bed or similar), a wardrobe and drawers for their clothing as well as CLEAN TOWELS AND BEDDING for each student. It is never acceptable to keep the same unwashed bedding from previous students for new arrivals. If that isn t possible, we would like the student to have access to your home if they are too sick to have class or trip, etc. To give the students reasonable and regular access to the bathroom facilities. Ensure all TV, DVD, Games are age appropriate. To RESPECT the students cultural background and be SENSITIVE TO THE NEEDS of the students. Host families should understand that WORLD SCHOOL LTD IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSS CAUSED BY THE STUDENTS, but however if this is noticed while they are still here we could sort something out with the student but not after they have gone home. You need to LIAISE WITH THE HOST FAMILY COORDINATOR if you have any problems with keeping to your terms and conditions, as we may be able to make other arrangements for you or ask another family to help on that occasion. Also with any other problems. Please also INFORM Host Family Coordinator of ANY CHANGES to your circumstances immediately, if it s moving home or changing contact numbers, addresses etc. Payments will be paid DIRECTLY INTO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT WITHIN 3 DAYS of the students departure, however if you have a building society account it can take up to 3 days to clear. Please be aware that at the end of their stay, all students are asked to fill- in a feedback form concerning their school and host- family experience here. As a business, we continually strive to improve on our services to students and teachers, who are customers, and we act on the feedback received. Should seriously negative comments be received about a host family, it may result in us having to terminate our agreement with that family. The Company Director Paulo Cardoso would also like families to realise that the students from our business are only children! This may also be their first time away from home and their country. It is very important to him that the students feel welcome in your homes. Families must also need to take into consideration that English is not their mother language and communication can be quite difficult on occasions. By signing below, I certify that the information provided above is accurate, and I have read and understood the terms and conditions. Full Name Date Signature
