A quick guide to... Managing Multimedia

In this guide... Learn how the GetResponse Multimedia Studio lets you record, upload and store up to 1GB of audio and video files, photos and documents right from your account and enhance your messages with hundreds of available stock photos. Manage Multimedia To get started, click the My account link in the upper right corner, then choose Account Details and click Multimedia. The multimedia studio is divided into tabs: Video, Audio, Photos&Images, Documents, QR codes and istockphoto. Your available storage space is displayed at the top. Any individual file you upload cannot exceed 20 MB. Before you add a file, you must create a folder. 4

Manage Photos and Images Browse the istockphoto gallery As a GetResponse user, you have access to 1000+ professional-quality pictures, carefully selected from istockphoto.com. The images are organized in popular industry categories for your browsing convenience. GetResponse gallery images are free for you to use in GetResponse email marketing campaigns, courtesy of our partnership with online image leader istockphoto. You can buy additional messages by adding them to your cart. Add stock images to your folders To preview a stock image, simply click the thumbnail. If you plan to use the image later, click the Add to my folder button and select a folder. Browse your photos and images From the Photos & images tab, you can browse your stored images. Your images are organized into personal folders. New folders can be created at any time by entering a name and clicking Add. Upload new images To add your own images, first select a folder then click the Upload file button. The system supports standard jpg, jpeg, gif, png and bmp files. After the upload is completed, a thumbnail of your image appears in the multimedia space. To upload images from URL, simply click the Add from URL button. 5

Manage Audio and Video To get started, click the My account link in the upper right corner, then choose Account Details and click Multimedia. Click video or audio. Upload existing video or audio files To add your own files, select a folder then click Upload file to browse your PC disc, or click Add from URL. For videos, we support standard.flv,.fl4,.mov and.mp4. For audio, your file must be in.flv format. Maximum file size is 20MB. After the upload and conversion is completed, a thumbnail of your media appears. Add new video and audio recordings Create new video and audio recordings directly from your webcam and microphone. First select a folder then click the Add new recording button. When the new window appears, click the record video or record audio button to allow GetResponse to access your webcam and microphone. 6

Choose your recording devices Click the Settings tab. Choose the recording quality for the video and audio; it can vary, depending on the speed of your internet connection. If your computer has multiple webcam and microphone devices, select the ones you prefer and click the Apply settings button. Make your new recording Click the Video or Audio tab then click the Record button. Click Pause at any time. Click Stop when you are finished recording. Click Play to review the recording and Record if you wish to start over. If the recording is OK, click Next step, enter a name for the recording, and click Save. Preview your recordings Click the video or audio tab and select a folder. To preview a recording, click the thumbnail. The recording is displayed in the GetResponse multimedia player. The toolbar includes buttons to play, pause, stop and adjust volume of the recording. 7

Share your recordings The GetResponse player includes buttons to help you and your viewers share video and audio recordings online. Share videos on Twitter and Facebook by customizing a message to accompany the link. Copy the URL address to display the video or copy the HTML code to integrate the player into a website. Manage Documents To get started, click the My account link in the upper right corner, then choose Account Details and click Multimedia. Upload documents To upload a new document from your computer, choose a folder and click Upload file. Click Add from URL and type or copy-and-paste the Web address to add a file stored online. Several file types can be uploaded including txt, pdf, doc and xls. 8

Browse your documents Click the Documents tab to display a list of your existing documents. Click a document thumbnail to download a copy to your computer. The documents can be sorted into personal folders. Add a new folder at any time by entering a name and clicking Add. Generate QR Codes GetResponse gives you option to create your own QR Codes. Click the QR Code tab to start. Generate the code Click Add New QR Code to generate the code. Choose type, size, content and name. Confirm your settings by clicking Save code. 9

Browse QR Codes From the QR Codes tab, you can preview or delete your codes or scan them for testing purposes. Add Images and Photos to Messages All images uploaded to Multimedia studio, as well as the istockphoto collection, can be used in your HTML messages. 1. Choose HTML template and proceed to the Create step. 2. Drag-and-drop an image block from the right-hand column into the message or edit any other image block that s already in your template. 3. To change or add a picture, click the image field. Then click the Insert/edit image icon in the editing menu to access the content stored in your Multimedia folder. Select the tab you wish: istockphoto or My images. Choose an image and click Use image to add it to your message. 10

4. In the same menu, you can adjust the image to the size of the block; edit the position of the image; add/remove the image border; edit style, color and size; change background; or add spacing. The same menu enables you to Insert/edit a hyperlink to the image or add an ALT attribute that displays text if the image is blocked by the subscriber s email program. 11
