Prior to working in Medicare, Mary Sue spent many years practicing clinically in various inpatient and outpatient settings. In Mary Sue s 13+ years in Medicare Part A, she has worked in the Medical Review department as well as Provider Outreach and Education (POE). Mary Sue provides clinical education in all WPS contracts of work throughout the United States. Rosann M. O'Dell DHSc, MS, RHIA, CDIP Clinical Assistant Professor & Academic Progression Manager Rosann M. O'Dell, DHSc, MS, RHIA, CDIP, is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Health Information Management at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) School of Health Professions. Prior to academia, she managed a variety of health information operations and systems, and participated in committees and outreach activities focused on consumer and patient engagement within hospitals where she worked. Her scholarly work on the consumer engagement front in healthcare includes peerreviewed and industry journal publications, in which she has either authored, co-authored, or contributed to, on topics such as health information literacy and appraisal skills, healthcare decision-making, patient-generated health data, and consumer-facing health information strategies. Sandy Pearson MHA, RHIA HIM Operations Director & ICD-10 Program Administrator Sandy Pearson has been the HIM Operations Director at SCL Health - St. Francis Health in Topeka since 2012. An RHIA with a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration, she has worked in a variety of healthcare settings in her 20 year career including rural, critical access hositals; a large, for profit, 100 physician multi-specialty clinic; and a 600 bed tertiary hospital before joining SCL Health which consists of 8 hospitals and just under 200 ambulatory clinics. She participates on the Washburn and St. Mary's HIM Advisory Boards and is a member of the AHIMA Consumer Engagement Practice Council. Seth Jeremy Katz MPH, RHIA Assistant Administrator, Information Management & Program Exectution Seth Jeremy Katz currently serves as the Assistant Administrator for Information Management and Program Execution at Truman Medical Centers, a two-hospital academic medical system based in Kansas City. His role has him overseeing Truman's HIM, Project Management, IT Education, Nursing Informatics and Data Exchange & Integrity departments, as well as acting as their ICD10 program manager.
