Centrifugal Fan ATEX classed adapted for paint shops Wide assortment broad area of application Service friendly low maintenance costs Headquarters:
Centrifugal Fan Centrifugal Fan is a direct driven industrial blower that works with a high degree of efficiency. Blowers are available with two different types of impeller depending on the type of application. The B-impeller has backward curved blades and is intended for relatively clean air. The P-impeller has backward inclined blades and is intended for both clean air and air with some dust content. The B-impeller operates with an efficiency of up to 86% and the P-impeller with an efficiency of up to 75%. All models are available in ATEX versions for Category 3G (Zone 2), inward (only process air) or inward and outward. The blowers are delivered powder coated as standard. Centrifugal Fan SAFETY & OPERATION Fans are fitted with a 3-phase short circuit motor. Fans are intended for continuous operation. The fan s outdoor temperature should be 40 C max. The temperature of the media transported by the fan should be max. +80 C. (NOTE! max +40 C applies for ATEX classed fans). Fans can be installed vertically or horizontally. Fans are approved for regulating the speed with frequency inverter. (NOTE! Special instructions for frequency control apply for the outer side of ATEX classed fans Cat.3G (zone 2)). Lowest modulated operating frequency for Motors is 20Hz. (NOTE! Special instructions for frequency control apply for the outer side of ATEX classed fans Cat.3G (zone 2)). Calculation of the highest operating frequency for motors is based on the maximum speed for the specific fan type, see fan curve of the relevant fan. (NOTE! Special instructions for frequency control apply for the outer side of ATEX classed fans Cat.3G (zone 2)). The fan motor should be connected with an over current protection that is set to the rated current for the specific motor and that breaks the voltage supply to the motor if the rated current is exceeded. (NOTE! Special instructions for frequency control apply for the outer side of ATEX classed fans Cat.3G (zone 2)). INSTALLATION, OPERATION & MAINTENANCE Prior to commissioning, the fans must be duct connected or fitted with protection guards to prevent contact with any moving parts. The fans are only intended for fixed installation. Installation should be performed in a manner that ensures it cannot unfasten, cause or be exposed to any vibrations. If the installation can result in a situation whereby the fan is subjected to vibrations, it should be mounted on vibration absorbers and duct connected with diffusers. The fan should be so installed that service and maintenance can be carried out in the easiest and safest way possible. For ATEX classed fans, a number of safety measures should be taken to ensure that no foreign objects can be sucked or fall into the fan, min IP20 ( 12,5mm) on the inlet side and IP10 ( 50mm) on the outlet side. For ATEX classed fans Cat.3 (zone 2) inside (NOT classified outside) the fan outlet must be duct connected so that the duct outlet discharges at least 1,500mm away from the fan motor. If the fan is installed in an area where there is a risk of formation of condensation (e.g. outdoors with varying temperatures), the drainage plugs on the motor should be opened to ensure that they are placed at the lowest point of the framework so that the condensation water can run out. (NOTE! Special instructions apply for the outer side of ATEX classed fans Cat.3G). Prior to commissioning, make sure that: 1. The fan is installed and electrically connected properly, safely grounded and with motor protection. 2. No foreign objects are in the fan. 3. The rotation direction is in accordance with the label. (if the fan rotates in the wrong direction, two phases can be swapped to attain the correct direction) 4. The current strength does not exceed that stated on the Motor. Headquarters:
