For security reasons, we would advise you to change your password(s) when you log in for for the first time. The single user ID and Log-on & Trading passwords will be used respectively to log on and trade on all online markets. You can also customise your preferred page as your log-on page. For clients logging on for the first time: 1. Change your Log-on Password 2. Change your Trading Password 3. A welcome message will appear 4. Select to activate your North American ("NA") Trading (optional) 5. Read through the NA Agreement and click 'Accept' once you agree to the terms (optional) 6. Customise your account and start trading Note: A CDP linkage to your securities account must be created in order to trade SGX stocks 3. How do I place a trade? Choose to execute your trades over the Internet or via the phone with our friendly Investment Service Associates. Online trading at www.dbsvonline.com 3 simple steps to smart trading: Have the opening page set to the "Order Entry" page Set up the "Watchlists", "Market Top20" and "Portfolios" in separate windows. This allows you to place orders at "Order Entry" page at the same time Use the "SG A-to-Z List" or snap bar for symbol search Once you log on to www.dbsvonline.com, Select "Trading", then "Order Entry": You may wish to know that you can bookmark the log-on page under the "Favourite Links" in your web browsers. For any enquiries, please contact our Investment Service Centre at 6327 2288 for further assistance. 2. What is Global Credit Limit? Global credit limit is an allocated amount for your online transactions. Each account has a global credit limit, which is real-time and applies across all markets and via all channels. With this function, you no longer need to call to ask for changes in limits to reflect contra gains, cancelled orders or more. These will automatically be credited back to the credit limit immediately upon transaction. You can check your Global Credit Limit at the "Order Entry" screen as shown right: To place an order: Select an exchange market you wish to trade in Select the symbol. The "Symbol Lookup" function is provided for easy retrieval of symbols across all markets. Alternatively, you can check on the symbol via the snap bar provided at the bottom of the page Key in the Buy/Sell order details Select the settlement currency (otherwise, it will be defaulted to traded currency)

Our Investment Service Associates are always ready to assist you in placing orders or in your navigation experience on our website, so call us at 6327 2288. For information on charges on trades executed via our ISC, please refer to the commission schedule. Information on trades placed through ISC will be available online so you can subsequently view or amend orders. More information can be found in Question 5. each page. In addition, quick links at "Accounts Holdings", "Portfolios", "Watchlists", "Market Top20", "Charting", "SG A-to-Z List" and "Symbol Lookup" are provided to bring you to the "Order Entry" page if you wish to place an order or view your account balances and holdings: SG A - Z List An A to Z list for SGX counters is available for your quick reference to quotes, names and symbols: Looking up symbols via Symbol Lookup This is found on the "Order Entry" page: 5. Will I be able to see my trade status? Yes, to view all trades in process, click "Trading", followed by "Order Status". A summary of the order status of all trades done via the Internet or over the phone can be viewed at a click: 4. How do I view prices? Watchlist Add symbols you wish to monitor via the "SG A-to-Z List" or "Settlements". We provide FREE comprehensive information such as "Multi-Market Top20", "Charting" and "Reports" tools from world class researchers to assist you in your investment decisions Research News & Reports We provide research news and information by worldclass brokers to support you in your investment decisions. Click "Trading" then "Stocks" to retrieve the "Broker's Views & News": Multi-Market Top20 This function allows you to view the top 20 performing stocks across 8 exchanges (namely SGX, HKEx, NYSE, Nasdaq, Amex, SH-B, SZ-B, and TSX) based on % Gainers, % Losers, $ Gainers, $ Losers and Volume Traded: Charting Real-time intra-day charts allows you to have an overall comparison of how the stock fluctuated during the day against the main index or another stock. You can view historical data charting from yeas 2000 onwards to have a feel of the trend of the stock. To view "Intraday Charts", click "Quotes & Research" followed by "Charting". Select "Intra-day" under "Time Frame": 7. Where can I find details of my previous day's transactions? The system captures all account activities conducted over the Internet as well as over the phone with our ISC. The "Account History" function displays all account activities and you can see your cash deposits or withdrawals online. You can choose a retrieval period of up to 90 days or set a specific date. To access, click on "My Account" followed by "History": You can also access your unsettled buy/sell contracts at the "Settlements" page. To do so, click "Trading" followed by "Settlements".
VickerOnline User guide 2 6/22/04 4:59 PM Page 5 8. How do I customise my Watchlists? The watchlists are aligned to a 5 by 20 listing. They can be customised with a maximum of 15 fields on a selection of 28 parameters. To view the watchlists in a separate window, click "View in Window" located at the top right hand corner of the Watchlist. The watchlists are organised with one click to trading "Buy/Sell" links. You can also activate streaming real-time watchlists by clicking "Streaming". Alternatively, you can add the symbols from the "Settlements" page under "Unsettled Buy/Sell": 9. How do I manage my Portfolios? There are 5 portfolios equipped with streaming function, one of which is "My SGX Portfolio". The difference between a Portfolio and a Watchlist is that the former provides mark to market value with filled price and quantity. You can also click on the radio buttons to select the symbols. Then select the Portfolio you wish to add to and click "Enter" to confirm. 10.How do I make payment for my trades? There are 3 modes of payment: To create your portfolio, you can key in the symbols to add stocks to a portfolio (go to "Edit Portfolio" and select the symbol and portfolio to add to): Electronic Payment for Shares (EPS) When making payment via EPS at the Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), please select "DBSVOnline" as the payee.

Cheque Please make cheque payable to "DBS Vickers Securities Online (Singapore) Pte Ltd". You are required to indicate your Trading Account number, Name, Contract number/ Contra Statement number and Contact number on the back of the cheque. 11.How do I set up multiple screens? To set up multiple screens, click "View in Window" button which is provided on the "Watchlists", "Market Top20" and "Portfolios" pages. The screen of your choice will pop up. To trade concurrently, return to the original screen and select "Order Entry" under the "Trading" page. Resize and align the two screens and you are ready to trade. 12.Is there any recommended encryption level for my browsers? In order to maintain a high standard of security, we recommend that you upgrade the encryption level of your web browser to the highest level. To find out the encryption level of your browser, click on "Help" followed by "About Internet Explorer" on your browser. You can increase the encryption strength by applying the latest Microsoft service pack and installing the higher encryption option.
