Executive Management Team Michael H. Covert, FACHE President & CEO Michael Covert has led since 2003 during whichh time he has overseen the expansion of the district s servicess and facilities and managed its growing reputation. Mr. Covert has more than 40 years of experience in health care administration, mainly in the capacity of CEO. Gerald Bracht Medical Center Mr. Bracht came to Health in 2000 and has been of Medical Center since that time. Ann Braun Executive Directorr and Chief Development Officer Foundation Ms. Braun took over as leader of the Health Foundation n in 2012, bringingg with her a sterling reputation after raising $500 million over the past decade in support of medical education, research and hospital facilities. Sheila Brown Downtown Campus Ms. Brown servess as Chief Administrative Officer of the h Downtown Campus since August 19, 2012. Previously, Ms. Brown has served as s Chief Clinical Outreach Officer. Della Shaw Chief Clinical Outreach Services, Ms. Shaw joined Health in 2012 where she is responsible for clinical outreach services, business development and physician integration. She has extensive experience leading physician groups in large integrated healthcare systems. Robert Hemker Chief Financial Officer Mr. Hemker has served as Chief Financial Officer of since 2001 and has extensive experiencee managing the financial and operational aspects of health care organizations.

Benjamin Kanter, M.D. Chief Medical Information Officer, Dr. Kanter has been s leader in the development of clinical information systems since 2006 when he took over as the district s Chief Medical Information Officer. Lorie Shoemaker, R.N., MSN, D.H.A., NEA-BC Chief Nurse Executive Ms. Shoemaker has served as Chief Nurse Executive since 2000, overseeing the nursing divisions at Medical Center, Pomerado Hospital and s skilled nursing facility, Villa Pomerado and Home Health. David Tam, M.D., FACHE, Pomerado Hospital In addition to his duties as Chief Administrative Officer at Pomerado Hospital, Dr. Tam oversaw the completion of construction of the new Medical Center and is the current Chief of Marketing and Communications for. Brenda Turner Chief Human Resource Officer, As Chief Human Resources Officer, Ms. Turner has overall responsibility for human resources, organizational development andd organizational learning. She joined in 2003. Duane Buringrud, M.D. Chief Medical Quality Officer Dr. Buringrud has been the Chief Medical Quality Officer for since 2005. He is a Board Certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology and works closely withh the Executive Management Team to constantly improve the clinical practice and patient care within the Health District.

Janine A. Sarti, Esq. General Counsel Ms. Sarti began her career with in August of 2007, at which time she implemented the first Legal Department for the organization. As General Counsel of Health, she addresses issues related to transactional, regulatory, employmen nt law, medical staff, contractual needs, and clinical ethics.

Ted Kleiter Chairman Mr. Kleiter has been a member of the Health Board of Directors since 1996. During his tenure, he has served as Chair of the Board and member of the Finance, Human Resources, Quality, Strategic Planning and Audit Committees. He is currently Chair of the Board. Stephen Yerxa Vice-Chairman, Mr. Yerxa received a bachelor s degree in Business and Communications and a master s degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota. He served as chairman of the Independent Citizen s Oversight Committee and on the Arch Network Board prior to being appointed to the Health Board. Linda Greer, R.N. Secretary Linda Greer, RN, graduated from the College Nursing School in 1979 and went directly to work in the Hospital Intensive Care Unit, where she was actively involved in efforts to improve patient care and safety - a passion of hers to this day. She continued her education through the University of California, San Diego Extension Re-Entry program for Nurses, and completed a Fellowship with Health Ethics Trust. Jerry Kaufman, M.A., P.T. Treasurer Jerry Kaufman began his health care career as an EKG Technician in 1963 at Beverly Hospital in Montebello, California. He earned a bachelor s degree in Biology from California State University at Los Angeles, and a master s degree in physical therapy from the University of Southern California.

Bruce Krider Immediate Past President Bruce. Krider has a bachelor s degree in Sociology from Elmira College and a master s degree in Healthcare Administration from The George Washington University, in Washington, DC. For the past 30 years, he has served as a consultant in hospital accreditation for a Chicago-based hospital accreditation organization which surveys hospitals and other healthcare providers for participation in Medicare. Aeron Wickes, M.D. Director Dr. Aeron Wickes graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1978 with highest honors with a double major in Biochemistry and Aquatic Biology. He was awarded his M.D. degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in 1984 and also completed his internship and residency there. Jeff Griffith Director Jeff Griffith attended college in Chico, California where he completed his course work for a Paramedic license and a degree in Social and Behavioral Science. He completed the Ione Fire Academy and has Fire Officer Qualifications. He currently holds the position of Fire Captain in Riverside County.
