1 ACCJC Site Visit Team for Los Angeles Southwest College Biography and Photo Dr. Pam Eddinger (Chair) President, Moorpark College Pam Eddinger is President of Moorpark College in Moorpark, CA. Dr. Eddinger began her tenure at the 15,000-student, comprehensive community college in 2005 as the Chief Instruction and Student Services Officer. She was appointed president in Prior to Moorpark, Dr. Eddinger was Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Office at Massachusetts Bay Community College in Wellesley Hills, MA. Dr. Eddinger has served community colleges since 1993 in a number of leadership posts, including instruction, student services, marketing, foundation, and legislative relations. Prior to her entry into the field of education, she was Director of Public Relations for a top-50 Architecture- Engineering company in Central New York. Dr. Eddinger received her Bachelors in English from Barnard College, and earned both her Masters and Doctorate in Modern Japanese Literature from Columbia University in NY. Ms. Lori Bennett (Assistant) Dean of Student Learning, Moorpark College
2 Lori Bennett has almost over 15 years of community college experience, both in California and Washington. She is currently the Dean of Student Learning at Moorpark College and is responsible for several programs: Business, Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences, Criminal Justice, Health Education, Kinesiology, and Athletics. Before moving into administration, she served as a Business Professor at Moorpark College. Prior to entering the field of higher education, Ms. Bennett was a Marketing Manager at a variety of consumer products companies, including General Mills, Inc. Ms. Bennett received her Bachelors degree in Business from the University of Southern California and earned an MBA in Marketing/Finance from the University of Chicago. She is currently in the process of completing an Ed.D. at California State University, Northridge in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Dr. Janis Caston Professor of Accounting Cosumnes River College Janis Caston is Professor of Accounting at Cosumnes River College, Sacramento, CA. Arriving at Cosumnes River College in 1984, Dr. Caston first taught business and computer applications courses. Five years later, she was appointed Dean of Business & Communications, where she served for 11 years. Following this, she served as Dean of Instruction for 6 years. Anticipating the end of a long career, Janis voluntarily returned to the accounting classroom six years ago, where she remains today. Dr. Caston received her Bachelor s in Business Administration from Boise State University, Boise, ID; her Masters in Business from Sacramento State University, Sacramento, CA; and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA.
3 Mr. Mark Clair Institutional Research Coordinator Victor Valley College Mr. Mark Clair started his college career at Victor Valley College (VVC). He earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's degree in experimental psychology (concentration in physiology) from Cal State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). Mr. Clair enjoys teaching in the field of psychology having taught at CSUSB, Riverside Community College, Victor Valley College, and Chapman/Brandman University over the last 16 years. Mr. Clair has worked at Victor Valley College (VVC) for over 12 years in MIS, research and institutional effectiveness. Responsibilities under the current position of Institutional Research Coordinator include coordinating the efforts of reporting to the campus and the community he serves. He also oversees federal and apportionment reporting, and provides the data necessary for enrollment management, program review, accreditation, and service level outcomes. Ms. Kate Clark Professor of English, Emerita Irvine Valley College
4 Ms. Kate Clark retired almost three years ago from Irvine Valley College where she was a Professor of English and the Articulation Officer. Immediately prior to that, she had served fellow faculty as the President of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges. It was her delight during those years of statewide service to visit almost half of the state s colleges including LA Southwest. She is looking forward to be on the Southwest campus again. Since retirement, she has served on another accrediting visiting team, has worked with faculty at various colleges on improving governance relationships, and has collaborated with composition faculty at UCI and many Orange County community colleges to improve transfer preparation in reading and writing. Most recently Ms. Clark has returned to Irvine Valley College on a contract to help reinvigorate the SLO and Assessment efforts. Dr. Anne Cremarosa Dean Academic Affairs Allan Hancock College Dr. Anne Cremarosa is a product of the California Community College system, having started her academic education as a re-entry student in her mid-30s. Since then, she has earned a B.S. in Business Administration/Management, an M.B.A. and a Doctorate in Business Administration/Management. She is presently completing her first year of law school. Prior to entering the professional world of academia, Dr. Cremarosa owned and operated multiple businesses in the service industry, construction and retail environments As an academic, Dr. Cremarosa taught a wide array of courses in the Business Division for both Allan Hancock College and Reedley College. For the past 4 years, in her role as Dean of Academic Affairs for CTE programs, she has served the Business Education, Industrial Technology and Public Safety departments, as well has took the lead role in converting the Job Placement/Career Services into a full-service Career Technical Education Center. Additionally, she has been instrumental in the research, funding and implementation of a new Small Business Entrepreneurship Center designed to serve the college and community at large.
5 Dr. Allen Dooley Division Dean, Business Santa Ana College Dr. Allen Dooley joined Santa Ana College as its Division Dean of Business in April of Prior to that, Dr. Dooley was at Pasadena City College for 17 years where he served in a number of leadership capacities including: Acting Dean of Enrollment Management, Acting Dean of Academic Support, Acting Dean of Business and Computer Technology, and Interim Dean of Mathematics and Computer Studies. In addition Dr. Dooley has served as an accrediting site team member, on behalf of the Accrediting Commission for Junior and Community Colleges, at four colleges across California. Prior to his career in education, he worked for 15 years as an information systems technologist in the banking industry. A published author, Dr. Dooley also holds a credential in online teaching. Dr. Pamela Luster President San Diego Mesa College
6 Pamela Luster is the President of San Diego Mesa College. She joined the college in 2011 as its 6 th president. San Diego Mesa College is a comprehensive community college with over 24,000 students, in the San Diego Community College District. Dr. Luster previously served as Vice President of Academic Services, Vice President of Student Services and Dean of academic Services at Las Positas College. She began her career as an adjunct instructor at West Valley College, becoming DSPS Coordinator, Division Chair and Dean of Career Education and Workforce Development. Dr. Luster received her Bachelor s Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from San Jose State University, her Master s in Education (Audiology) from San Jose State and her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University. Dr. Luster s scholarly focus is in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion. Mr. Edralin Maduli Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services West Valley-Mission CCD Edralin J. Maduli is the Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services for the West Valley Mission Community College District. He assumed this position on April 20, He is responsible for the district s finances, information systems, public safety, maintenance operations, facility renovation/construction, and general services. Previously, Maduli served as the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Administrative Services for the San Luis Obispo County Community District (Cuesta College) from October 1, 2001 to April 17, From January 8, 2007 to March 3, 2008, he served as the Interim Superintendent/President. He was responsible for all aspects of the college, with its three campuses in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Arroyo Grande/Nipomo. Prior to moving to the Central Coast, Maduli served as the first Director of Fiscal and Administrative Operations and subsequently, the first Vice President of Business Services for Las Positas College, in Livermore, California, from May 1994 to September Before moving to community colleges, Maduli served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Maduli received his A.A. degree from Hartnell College, B.S. in aeronautical engineering from Cal Poly (SLO), M.S. in aeronautical engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and an MBA from Golden Gate University. He is working towards his Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of Southern California.
7 Dr. Robin Steinback Vice President of Instruction Cuyamaca College Dr. Robin Steinback has served for more than 26 years in California Community colleges and has extensive teaching and administrative experience. She has worked in multi-college and multi-campus districts, in suburban and urban areas, all with diverse student populations. She began her career at her alma mater, Mt. San Jacinto Community College, where she served first as an adjunct instructor and then as an Associate Professor of Sociology, Department Chair, Distance Education Coordinator, Matriculation Researcher, President of the Academic Senate, and Dean of Instruction. Dr. Steinback has served as the chief academic officer and Accreditation Liaison Officer at two community colleges. She currently serves as the Vice President of Instruction/ALO at Cuyamaca College in the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District located in east San Diego County. She holds a Ph.D. and Master s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in social psychology, formal organizations and institutions from University of California, Riverside. Ms. Rachel Vickrey Math Lab Coordinator Bakersfield College Ms. Rachel Vickrey holds an M.A. in Mathematics from University of New Mexico and an M.A. in Psychology from University of West Georgia. She has taught mathematics at
8 Bakersfield College since She was mathematics department chair She is currently the faculty coordinator for the self-paced developmental math students in the Math Lab. She also serves on the Bakersfield College Accreditation Steering Committee. She has previously served as the Academic Senate Treasurer, faculty co-chair of the Institutional Effectiveness (Program Review) Committee, and member of the Bakersfield College Strategic Plan (Renegade 2012) Planning Committee. In addition to teaching, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and petting her cats. Dr. Frederick "Fritz" Wenck Member Board of Trustees Lake Tahoe Community College After leaving the Navy in 1970, Dr. Frederick Fritz Wenck came to South Lake Tahoe, CA where he has been in the private practice of general dentistry ever since. In 1974, Dr. Wenck was elected to the initial Board of Trustees for Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC), and has been reelected continuously since. He served as President of the Board eight times. Dr. Wenck was also elected to the Board of Directors of the California Community College Trustee's Association (CCCT) in 1991, where he served for nine years. In , he served as President of CCCT and the League. Dr. Wench has served on numerous accreditation visiting teams, including Rio Hondo Community College, Bakersfield Community College, Siskiyous Community College, Palo Verde Community College, and Glendale Community College.
