UPGRADING ARGUS OBTAINING AND INSTALLING ARGUS v5 (DOWNLOAD OR CD) The initial download and installation of Argus is quite a simple process. It is important to note that the size of the Argus v5 installer is approximately 120 megabytes. This download can take some time on slower internet connections, and may cause some interruption to other products that rely on an internet connection being available. If you suspect the download may cause issues at your location, we recommend you download Argus v5 outside of business hours. Alternatively; we can post a CD to your location (at no cost to you) upon request if the 120mb download is unable to be downloaded at your location. Please phone (03) 9037 1000 (press option 1 for Support, and follow the prompts) and request an Argus v5 CD be posted to you. 1. Open your default web browser (usually Safari) and type in the following address; www.argusconnect.com.au. 2. Click on Getting Started on the right, then select Software Download. 3. Click on Download Argus 5 for MAC. 4. Save the file to your desktop. Once the file has downloaded, double click on the Argus 5.x for MAC, type in your administrator password, click continue and next through all the steps, remembering to agree to the licence agreement. When the Terminal window appears type in your administrator password and press Enter to continue. If any errors were encountered, please contact the Argus helpdesk on the details provided on the first page of this document. You are now ready for the next step of Upgrading Argus - - 3 - -

If it fails at this point, there is probably an issue with PostgreSQL, is the ArgusPostgresql service running? Argusv5 Registration - Introduction window will appear, enter your Argus Customer ID. And click Next If it fails at this point, there is most likely an issue with your Internet connection; or a firewall is stopping outbound traffic to the Argus registration server. Click Finish Select Import data from a pre Argusv5 installation, click on Confirm. Click Yes to the dialog box for Running Database Migration.
