Introduction Thank you for choosing GlobalMeet Audio as your Cisco WebEx teleconferencing service provider. GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx is an integrated solution that brings superior voice quality to every WebEx meeting. It allows your WebEx and WebEx Collaboration Meeting Room (CMR) users to join online meetings and conferences from any desk or mobile phone (dial-in) and to connect to meeting audio via their computers (VoIP). On the go? GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx is available for iphone and Android devices. It works with your WebEx mobile apps, giving you the same superior voice quality you expect from GlobalMeet Audio. Using GlobalMeet Audio with Your WebEx Account In order to use GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx, each user must set up dial-in conferencing for their individual WebEx or WebEx CMR meeting accounts. This provides the dial-in numbers and passcodes that meeting hosts and their guests can use to call in to their WebEx meetings. To use computer audio, your WebEx sites must be enabled for the GlobalMeet Audio VoIP feature. We will work with Cisco on your behalf and will notify you when configuration is complete. In addition, your WebEx users must install the GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio for WebEx app on their Windows or Mac computers. 3

A separate guide is available with instructions and screen shots that are valid for My WebEx release WBS28. (WebEx CMR is not supported on WBS28.) What s New in This Guide August 2015 the GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio for WebEx app now supports ios 9. Support for Cisco WebEx CMR GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx supports WebEx meetings and Cisco WebEx CMR meeting rooms. The instructions for setting up dial-in conferencing are the same for both. It is not available for WebEx Training, Event, and Support Centers. You can use dial-in conferencing in these centers. 4
Network and System Requirements This section is for IT personnel who will be setting up GlobalMeet Audio for their organizations. Network Requirements The GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio app provides VoIP audio to your users. In order for the app to work on your corporate network, the following ports and protocols need to be enabled outbound from user workstations: UDP (SIP) on ports 5060 and 5070 UDP (RTP) on ports 50000+ TCP (HTTP/HTTPS) on ports 80 and 443 System Requirements (WebEx) GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx requires WebEx Site version 29.13 or higher. Only lockdown versions are fully supported. System Requirements (GlobalMeet Audio VoIP) The GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio (VoIP) app is available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X computers. It requires: Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 Mac OS X 10.9 and 10.10 When the GlobalMeet Audio VoIP feature is enabled for your WebEx site, an Install button is added to the Audio Connection dialog box seen by end users. Clicking Install connects to a GlobalMeet server and downloads the Windows or Mac installer. NOTE: If your users have difficulty downloading and installing the app, please contact your IT administrator or account representative. Mac. Administrator access is not required. Customers who have locked down their Mac users must push the app through their normal software distribution method. The VoIP app is installed in the Applications folder in the user s Home directory. Windows. Windows users must have sufficient permissions to install and run the application. Full administrator privileges are not required. The VoIP app is installed in the user s profile folder. It writes to HKCU registry entries. 5
Add GlobalMeet Audio to a WebEx Account To use GlobalMeet Audio, add your GlobalMeet Audio conference account to your WebEx meeting. This lets you use your GlobalMeet Audio dial-in account for the audio portion of your WebEx meetings. In your Cisco WebEx site, sign in to your WebEx account. Have your Welcome email available. You ll need your dial-in numbers and passcodes. Set Up Your Audio Conference Account 1. Go to your Cisco WebEx site and log in. 2. In the top navigation bar, click My WebEx. The My WebEx home page is displayed. 3. In the left navigation pane, click Preferences, and then next to Audio, click Set up. 6
4. Scroll to the Teleconference section and then click Add account. 5. The Add Teleconferencing Account page is opened in a new window. Select I have an account and would like to add it to My Audio. 6. Refer to your Welcome email and set up your audio account settings. > Call-in toll free number: Enter the toll-free access number, including the area code. Be sure that Toll-free is checked. > Call-in number: Enter the local (toll) access number, including the area code. > Host access code: Enter the host passcode from your welcome email. > Attendee access code: Enter the guest passcode from your welcome email. > Recording dial-out number: Select Call-in toll-free number. 7
7. Click OK. Your audio account is now set up for WebEx. 8
Use GlobalMeet Audio for Computer Audio This section explains how to install the GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio app and how to connect to meeting audio via your computer. Connect Your Mic and Speakers When you use computer audio, you must have a way to talk and listen via your computer. You can use any of the following combinations: A headset (with microphone) plugged into the microphone and speaker jacks on your computer. A headset (with microphone) plugged into one of the USB ports on your computer. A Bluetooth headset connected to your computer. NOTE: Listening on your computer speakers is not recommended. It can introduce echo and/or feedback into the audio conference, and can be disruptive in the workplace. Install the VoIP app Before you can use computer audio, you must do a one-time install of the GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio app. You can install it from the Audio Connection menu. Join a meeting and then click Connect to Audio. On the Audio Connection menu, select Call Using Computer to display the install option. 9
Windows Click Install and follow the prompts to install the app. (The prompts will vary based on your company s security configuration and the configuration of your computer.) When installation is complete, you re ready to use your computer for meeting audio. Mac Click Install to download the installer. Select Downloads and open the GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio installer. Double-click and follow the prompts to install the app. 10
Use Your Computer for Audio To connect to meeting audio using your computer, click Call Using Computer. Your headset is automatically connected to the audio conference. Have the meeting connect audio using your computer. Once the meeting is complete, you can simply close the WebEx meeting window. Your headset will be disconnected automatically. 11
Switch Meeting Audio On the menu bar, click Audio to see the same options. You can switch from computer audio to dial-out without leaving the meeting. For example, you may want to begin using your mobile phone if you need to leave the office in the middle of a meeting. Click the Connected to Audio button to see options for adjusting your mic and speaker volumes, testing your computer audio connection, and changing your audio connection. Mute or adjust your mic and speaker volumes. Switch to dial-out (Call Me) or dial-in (I Will Call In). 12
Uninstall the VoIP App Windows To remove the app, open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to the Programs area. Locate GlobalMeet Softphone for WebEx in the list and click Uninstall. Mac To remove the app, open a Finder window and navigate to your home folder. Open the Applications folder, locate GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio for WebEx in the list, and move it to Trash. 13
Go Mobile GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx is available for iphone smartphones and Android smartphones and tablets. It integrates with the WebEx mobile app on your device and lets you use your GlobalMeet Audio conference account to: Dial in to a meeting using your dial-in number and passcode (Call In) Dial out from the meeting (Call Me) Connect to meeting audio using your device s data connection either Wi-Fi or your mobile carrier s 3G/4G/LTE network Take advantage of audio integration features, such as active caller and mute/unmute NOTE: The mobile apps require your company to be subscribed to the GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx service, including the hybrid audio and optional CMR feature if desired. For more information, contact your company WebEx administrator or account representative. Install the Apps GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx is available in the Apple App Store SM and Google Play. Go to either store and search for GlobalMeet Audio for Cisco WebEx or GMWX to download and install the app. System Requirements The GlobalMeet Audio mobile app can be run on: Android smartphones and tablets running Android platform versions 2.3.3 and higher (Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, and Lollipop). On Android tablets, only VoIP audio is supported (no dial-in). iphone devices running ios 7, ios 8, and ios 9, including the iphone 4S, iphone 5 (all models), iphone 6 (all models), and iphone 6 Plus. iphone 4 devices are supported on ios 7 only. The app is optimized for iphone 5. You must have an active Internet connection to use the GlobalMeet Audio mobile app, either through your wireless carrier s 3G/4G/LTE network or via Wi-Fi. 14
Use GlobalMeet Audio on Your Mobile Device Once the GlobalMeet Audio app has been installed, the home screen is displayed. The app runs in the background, monitoring connection status. You can view current connection status and set your default audio output either phone/headset or speakerphone. NOTE: You can switch audio output during a meeting, via the WebEx Meetings app. Set your default audio output. You can change this later, during a meeting. Having an issue? View audio logs and send them via email to Support. 15
Connect to Audio Start or attend a WebEx meeting as you normally would on your mobile device. When you connect to audio, your GlobalMeet Audio account is used. Your account settings determine whether you can Call In to the meeting or have it Call Me. If your account is enabled for GlobalMeet Audio VoIP, you can connect using your device s Internet connection. 16
Troubleshooting The Install (desktop computer) or Connect Using Internet (mobile device) options aren t available. First, make sure that the user is assigned to a WebEx site that is enabled for the GlobalMeet Audio VoIP feature. If so, confirm with your WebEx site administrator or Support that the company to which the site is assigned has been provisioned for VoIP audio. Call Using Computer is available, but audio doesn t connect. Make sure that the user s computer has an active, stable Internet connection. If the user still cannot connect, make sure the network ports and protocols are enabled as described earlier in this guide. VoIP audio. The audio connection drops when mobile device switches from Wi-Fi to data connection. The participant receives the error message, You ve been disconnected from the WebEx meeting, when the connection times out and is dropped from the meeting. You must rejoin the meeting and reconnect audio. VoIP audio (Mac). The first time you use Call Using Computer, it might hang while trying to connect. This is an intermittent WebEx Mac OS X client issue; seen only the first time a user selects Call Using Computer after installing the GlobalMeet Hybrid Audio app. On the Connecting box, click Cancel and then use your phone to connect (Call Me or I Will Call In). You will be able to use computer audio for all subsequent meetings you host or attend. Cisco has targeted a fix for this issue in a future WebEx release. 17
