Getting started 2 To access your voicemails online, simply sign in to your My Sky account at www.sky.com/mysky. Just enter your My Sky Username and Password and you will have access to all of your voicemail messages, plus features to help manage your Voicemail Plus service remotely. New Voicemail Messages Once you are signed in to My Sky, the Sky Talk section will indicate the number of new voicemails you have in your inbox - this is the number shown in brackets.
Your Online Voicemail homepage 3 From your homepage you can see the phone numbers of anybody who has left you a message if the caller withheld their number it will say anonymous or unknown. You can also see the duration of each message, the date and time when each message was left, turn your voicemails on and off, and set a personal greeting too. Here s a quick guide to the features available. 1. Listen to your messages. You can listen to your messages, fast forward or rewind messages using the duration bar in case you want to listen to part of the message again. 2. Delete your messages. When you ve listened to your messages you can delete them. This will create more space in your inbox for new messages. Remember, you can only store 30 messages before your mailbox is full. 3. Change your personal greeting. You can change your personal greeting in a number of ways using Online Voicemail and Voicemail Plus. Click Personal Greeting and follow the simple instructions. 4. Listening to a single message 4 1. To play a single message, just click on the message itself or the Play button on the right. 2. If you ve missed part of the message you can rewind or fast forward using the duration bar. 3. You can turn the volume up or down for each individual message by moving the speaker icon which appears when the message is playing. 1 2 3 Listening to multiple messages To play multiple messages in order, just select the messages you want to listen to and then click on Play selected.
Deleting a message 5 To delete a message just tick the box to the left of a message and then click on the Delete button on the right of the screen. You will then be asked to confirm that you want to permanently delete the message please note that unlike emails, there is no trash can functionality. Also, if you delete the message using online voicemail you will also delete it from your handset. Likewise, if you delete a message using your handset, you won t be able to see it online.
Setting your personal greeting 6 With Online Voicemail and Voicemail Plus you can set your personal greeting in a number of ways - using your handset or online, whether you re at home, at work or in the recording studio! Record your greeting using your home phone If you re at home, the easiest way to set up your personal greeting is to dial 1571 from your handset. Select option 2 then press 1 and follow the instructions to record your greeting. Record your greeting using a mobile or work phone If you aren t at home but have access to your Online Voicemail service via the Internet, you can still set a personal greeting. Simply dial your home number using any phone and leave your personal greeting as the message. Then click on Find in your Online Voicemail homepage to select the message. This will then be set as your personal greeting. Don t worry if you delete the message from your inbox, it will still be saved as your welcome message. Record a greeting using your own voice recording software If you are used to using recording software, you may like to record a personal greeting this way instead of using your phone. You can then upload your greeting as an mp3 file. If you d like to do this, then follow the steps below: Record your message using your chosen recording software. Save your greeting in mp3 format. Select Upload on the Personal Greetings page to browse for your chosen mp3. Choose from of our pre-recorded greetings More messages coming soon! We re busy creating a number of pre-recorded messages which you can select from as your welcome message. Until then, you can select the simple welcome message that is currently available or create your own.
Using Voicemail Plus on your telephone handset 7 As well as listening to your voicemails online, you can of course continue to use your handset. To access your messages dial 1571, option 1 - To return a call press 0 - To listen to a message again press 1 - To save a message press 2 - To delete a message press 3 To change your personal options dial 1571, option 2 - To record a personal greeting press 1 - To change your PIN press 2 To access your voicemails remotely dial your home phone number, followed by your PIN To listen to your missed calls dial 1571, option 4 Interaction between the handset and Online Voicemail Personal greetings The most options for managing your personal greeting are available online. If you choose to use your handset you can record your own personal greeting but you will not have the ability to choose from a pre-recorded greeting or upload an MP3 recording. Changing your Access PIN With your handset you can change your Access PIN this allows you to access your voicemails from another landline or mobile. There is no functionality to allow you to do this online. People who called but didn t leave a message Using your handset you can listen to the numbers of people who called you but didn t leave a message. There is no ability to see or review these calls using Online Voicemail.
