National Institute of Technology, Warangal Development, Installation and Maintenance of Web Based Institute Management System for National Institute of Technology Warangal. NIT Warangal is planning to procure a web based Institute Management System (IMS) for computerization of all its academic, administrative and other activities through open advertisement. In this regard, it is proposed to conduct a meeting with potential vendors seeking their feedback in finalizing the specifications and eligibility criteria for bidders. The meeting is scheduled to be conducted on 28.01.2015 at 11.00 A.M. in the Seminar Hall of Computer Science and Engineering Department. Role based access to various Users, Automatic monitoring + Log file creation of all user transactions Backup through disk mirroring, backup server & backup on other machines & CD Eligibility Criteria for Participation in the open tender: Should have a minimum turnover of Rs.1.5 Crores in average for the last three financial years. Should be a registered company/firm with experience in implementing campus management software solutions and projects Should have developed similar management system for at least two reputed institution in India in the last five years. Should be maintaining or maintained similar management system in at least two Institutions of repute in the last five years One single contract worth Rs.30.0 Lakhs from assignments executed successfully during the last two years preferably in any of the reputed institutions in India The bidder should enclose client list with contact details for reference. Attach photocopies of work orders. Bidder should have at least 2 certificates/testimonials to substantiate success in implementing related projects Bidding company should have its own development facility and should own IP for the product or software. Bids from resellers, system integrators, authorized partners/vendors or consortia will not be considered. Bidders must enclose audited statements and IT returns for three years, VAT, CST / BST Nos etc. The project (SRS, Designing / Customization, coding, testing, installation & training) is to be completed within one year from the date of award of contract. One year free warranty after handholding period is mandatory. There shall be AMC of minimum Three years after one year warranty Selected bidder will have to sign service level agreement for functioning of software, training the NIT, Warangal staff and updating the software for initial period of five years (1 year installation + 1 year warranty + 3 years AMC) The bidders will have to demonstrate meeting of the functional requirements of NIT Warangal through an existing software product. The bidder has to provide onsite support during development and installation and 24 X 7 onlinesupport during warranty and AMC period. However, in case of failure to fix problems in online mode, on-site visit is bidder s responsibility.

NIT, Warangal will make all necessary hardware, networking, system software for full protection in consultation with successful vendor An agreement shall be signed between NITW and the successful bidder regarding Pre requisite/site preparation (Hardware / system software / networking / manpower requirements), Warranty, License agreement, Source Code, Installation & Training, Time Schedule, Payment Terms, Penalty Clause, Maximum permissible downtime, Facilities Required for Vendor, AMC Charges etc. The vendor has to provide training to NITW Users. Exclusive Training to two staff members on the IMS for day to day management is the responsibility of the bidder. The source code of the IMS developed must be given to NIT Warangal demonstrating its working. Maximum downtime of the software shall not be more than 48 hours or two working days. The data, in Excel on existing MIS is to be ported to the new system by the Vendor. The bidder should enclose relevant documents wherever necessary.
