3 INTRODUCTION TO KELTRON MT TRAINING K eltron s MT training Division offers Professional Diploma in Advanced Medical Transcription training, which is in accordance with the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity standards of USA. Any candidate who completes the KeLearn MT training program successfully gets recruited easily in reputed MT organizations in India. Kelearn MT Training program is delivered using advanced e-learning technology. Tutors provide hands-on support to MT students through Virtual Classroom. On successful completion of the training, candidates may get job opportunity with medical transcription companies in India. TRAINEE USER ACCOUNT INFORMATION KELTRON IN-HOUSE MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION (KIMT) Total duration of the training is 1 year or 364 days. Daily lessons can be accessed using the software called KeLearn Gateway, which is installed in your computer at the Center. The username and password that is supplied to the user should be used to enter into the KeLearn Gateway to access the lessons. KELTRON HOME-BASED MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION (KHMT) Total duration of the training is 1 year or 364 days. Daily lessons can be accessed using the software called KeLearn Gateway. KeLearn Gateway can be downloaded from the registration sent to you on successful registration as a candidate or can be downloaded from kelearn website. The username and password that is supplied to the user should be used to enter into the KeLearn Gateway to access the lessons. COURSE NAVIGATION Follow the guidelines given below to take up your lessons 1. Click on the table of contents button to take up your lessons. 2. You will have seven modules in your training. 3. The modules have to be taken in a sequential manner. The chapters that need to be covered on a daily basis are mentioned in the course schedule, which will be provided as a separate document to you. Follow the schedule as it is for timely completion of course. 4. The chapters in the modules will also be required to be taken in a sequential manner except Module I, which is open for direct access. 5. Just click on the lessons listed under Module I to access your lessons. Page 3

4 6. Chapter are divided into small parts and at the end of each part, there will be a set of questions (quizzes) pertaining to the lesson content covered till then. Each question should be answered correctly, failing which you will be redirected to the slide containing the answer to the relevant question. After you have revised that slide once again, click on "next" button after which you will be taken to the same question. Once you answer the question correctly, you will be automatically taken to the next slide. 7. At the end of each chapter, there will again be a set of questions (exercises) pertaining to the content of the whole chapter. The process followed for quizzes in cases of wrong answers will apply to exercises also. 8. At the end of each chapter in Module II, there will be infotainments pertaining to the American culture. 9. You will be able to proceed from one lesson to another only on completion of all previous lessons. i.e., the lessons have to be taken in a sequential order. 10. At the end of each module an exam will be conducted. 11. You can proceed to the next module only on completion of all previous modules and the exams at the end of the modules. 12. Training in transcription will be given in Module IV, with detailed instructions on how to proceed. 13. All completed chapters will appear in green color and the chapters that have not been completed will appear in red. 14. The status of the training (i.e.), the number of chapters completed, not completed and total number of chapters, will all appear on the top of the "Table of Contents" page. Page 4

KIMT candidates may contact the course coordinator at the training center for immediate doubt clarification. KHMT candidates may contact the centralized help and support center directly for their academic as well as technical problems. 6 You can contact us in any one of the following chat services. To set up Skype, click on the I am online/i am offline window in the login page of the KeLearn portal. You can create a user ID of your choice, if you do not have one already. Once you login into skype, add keltronhelp and keltron911 to your contact list. You will undergo rigorous training for a period of 1 year from the date of joining and there will be continuous and regular evaluation. A candidate will be allowed to take up the next module only if he/she completes the existing module successfully (Pass mark is 50/100). 2. You will not be eligible for any merit scholarship or stipend during your training period here. 3. There will be final LOM test as well as two tests per section of Transcription Practice, which the candidate has to successfully complete to be eligible for final examination. In transcription practice files, the candidates need to get minimum of 50% accuracy in order to be eligible for final examination. 4. Apart from the Final Evaluation Tests, your overall performance during the training period also would be considered to issue the certificate as referred in Clauses 8 to 15 and Clause In case of not meeting the criteria required to qualify the Final Evaluation Test, the management at its own discretion, may allow the candidate an extension period of 15 more working days without any additional fee, provided the candidate has not taken more than 6 leaves during the six months training period. In other cases, for extension of the course or a module, additional fees shall be paid, which will be communicated to the candidate at the time of course extension. 6 In case the candidate has taken more than 12 leaves during the training period, and could not qualify the training within 1 year period, no extension of training period will be allowed. 7 7. The fee for In-house Medical Transcription Training is Rs. 22,000 + Tax (prevailing Service Tax rate is 10.3%) and the fee for HBT is Rs. 20,000 + Tax (prevailing Service Tax rate is 10.3%). The fee can be paid in installments as mentioned in Clause Your batch details and the training time would be intimated to you at the beginning of your training. Reporting at the place of training at the time specified is very important. Habitual late coming will be considered as absenteeism, which will lead to termination from training without any financial benefits. 9. You will be entitled to 12 leaves during your training period. Prior intimation should be made before availing leaves and such leaves should not exceed a maximum of 12 during your 1 year training period. Leaves availed without obtaining prior sanction in the prescribed application form will be treated as a serious case of indiscipline and will lead to termination without any financial benefits. 10. You will be given periodical examinations. The scores of the periodic examinations will also be considered for final certification. There will be theory tests at the end of English and MT Theory. In Language of Medicine Module, there will be both theory test and voice test at the end of each chapter. The voice tests will be evaluated by the online tutor and the evaluated files will be sent to the trainee for reference and further workup. The accuracy of the voice test files will be considered for consolidation of the candidate s performance at the end of basic training. There will be a final theory and voice test at the end of the basic training. 11. You are required to maintain periodical documents pertaining to the progress of your training. On successful completion of the basic training, the student will be moved to the Transcription Practice (or) Advanced MT training. The student will be provided with actual doctors' dictation in Advanced MT training. The training provided in this phase will be based on various report types and various levels of dictation. Tests will be conducted at the end of each report type. The overall performance of the candidate will be calculated from all the test file results, combined with the final test conducted at the end of this module. 12. You will report to Course Coordinator at the center where you are undergoing the training. 13. You shall maintain absolute confidentiality in respect of the assignments and nature of the training as Medical Transcription trainee during the training period. 14. If you remain absent for 4 consecutive working days without prior permission/notice, it shall be deemed that you have left the training on your own and your name will be removed from the trainee attendance roll without any notice. In such case, you will not be eligible for any financial refund either in partial or in full. All your personal files and documents related to your training will be removed, and you will not have any claims on that. 15. At any given point of time, if your total attendance percentage falls below 90%, you are liable to be terminated without any financial benefits. 16. You are advised to go through the contents of this terms & conditions before signing the duplicate copy. Please sign the duplicate copy of this letter and return the same to the undersigned in token of your acceptance of the terms and conditions stipulated. 17. In the event of you accepting this offer with the terms and conditions stipulated therein, you shall return the duplicate copy of this order duly signed. 8 fee payment, you have to pay the second installment on or before the first working day of the 4 th month. 18. Delay in payment of subsequent installments will attract a fine of Rs Tax (prevailing service tax rate is 10.3%)- for every day of delay. 19. Under any condition, the fee once paid will not be refunded in any forms. CERTIFICATION POLICY 1. Certification will be provided to a candidate who successfully completes the course as per our prescribed curriculum. 2. Completion of one/few/all modules doesn t imply eligibility for course certification. 3. The Exam for Certification is conducted at the end of Module VI (Transcription Practice). 4. The pass percentage is 50%. 5. Only Senior MT and Executive MT will be eligible for placement assistance. The Certificates will be awarded based on the following scores: MARKS CERTIFICATION LEVEL 91%-100% EXECUTIVE MT (A+ Grade) 81%-90% SENIOR MT (A Grade) 71%-80% JUNIOR MT (B Grade) 50%-70% BEGINNER MT (C Grade) Below 50% FAILED I have read and understood the above mentioned terms and conditions & fully complied.
