Career Development Loans A Career Development Loan (CDL) is a Government sponsored scheme that can help to pay for up to two years of vocational (work-related) learning or up to three years if the course includes one year's relevant practical work experience. CDLs between 300 and 10,000. Loans can be used to support postgraduate study. Normally arranged through a bank or other specialist lender (Barclays, The Co-operative Bank and The Royal Bank of Scotland). Your CDL can be used to pay for more than just course fees.
