Planning a wedding... 6 Months Before 1. Set the date and visit Church to ensure it is available on the day 2. Book reception early if spring/summer Wedding is intended. 3. Draw up a guest list consulting both families and order invitations. 4. Decide on bridesmaids, best man and ushers. 5. Book honeymoon early if you plan to visit a popular resort. 6. Organise all your wedding clothes. 7. Book a photographer. 8. Consult video man. 4 Months Before 1. Arrange wedding music, flowers, organist and order of service sheets. 2. Finalise wedding transport. 3. Organise all wedding flowers included those needed for wedding ceremony and reception. 4. Make or order your wedding cake, it improves with age! 5. Choose wedding rings. 3 Months Before 1. Shop for Going Away clothes. 2. Choose presents for your attendants. 3. Post wedding invitations. 4. Check on passports and vaccinations, if required. Final Month Before 1. Visit hairdresser for practice run with head dress and book final hair appointment. 2. Arrange with hotel the seating plan of reception, the menu required and changing accommodation. 3. Double check all wedding and honeymoon clothes. 4. Have a full rehearsal at place of worship if possible. 5. Arrange to have to have both of your honeymoon and going away clothes left over at hotel. 6. Sit down, put your feet up. The work is now behind you so relax and enjoy yourself.
