1. Introduction NVR-Pro is a PC application program package targeted for use on a centralized real time video monitoring and recording system from network cameras and video servers that are distributed over network. Provides a simple way of building a network based video security system Install network cameras and video servers over network. Install NVR-Pro on a high performance PC at central monitoring station over network NVR-Pro includes key features needed on a centralized monitoring station Event triggered and scheduled recording mode Supports up to up to 64 live video channels toger with bidirectional audio. A separate playback screen that can handle up to 16 simultaneous playback without interrupting real time monitoring. Integrated alarm status indication panel showing up alarm status from all of connected channels. Integrated Pan/Tilt/Zoom control. Network DVR Server control feature. It is strictly recommended to use dedicated high performance PC to run NVR-Pro. NVR-Pro shows maximum stability and performance when PC is running no or application programs. To maximize usability of NVR-Pro, it is strongly recommended to have at least 4 video monitors for real time display of all channels. One more monitor is recommended to run playback feature independently.

1.1. Introduction Important Notice Time reference of NVR-Pro NVR-Pro includes features that need time reference. NVR-Pro refers to time set on PC for operation. It is very important to keep clock of PC precise. Time displayed beneath each screen in white color for real time connection is time information sent from network camera or video server. Do not change parameters related with network configuration while NVR-Pro has a video connection with corresponding device. Do not run application programs or than NVR-Pro on same PC. This can cause instability and performance degradation of NVR-Pro. NVR-Pro User s Guide

2. Installation of NVR-Pro Install NVR-Pro from CD. Program installation will continue automatically and after installation a launcher icon will be created on your desktop. Nvr.lnk USB hard key supplied with program CD is required to run NVR-Pro. Insert hard key into USB port n run program. It will take a while after insertion of USB hard key before recognized by PC.

3.1. 3.2. Screen Video Display Window Video display window is an area that displays video sent from locations being monitored. The window can be divided into 16 sub-screens called Display Unit (DU). Each DU has video display area and status indicator area. Channel Status Indicator Indicates presence of recording. schedule. YES ( ), NO ( ) Being in recording ( )/ Not in Recording ( ) Indicates wher audio is enabled ( ) or Not ( ). Indicates wher bidirectional audio is enabled ( ) or Not ( ). Messages When re is no live connection, message area indicates wher connection information is programmed or not (Assigned/Not Assigned). When channel is in live connection, message area displays time and channel description. The time displayed in message area is time set on device sending video. Remember that this time can be different from time set on PC.

3.3. Screen - Quick Control Pop-Up Menu Locate cursor on each DU and press right mouse button to enable Pop-up menu. Simple controls indicated on right can be initiated for each channel. Move cursor to desired operation and press left mouse button to start operation.

5.1. Detailed Description - Screen Layout CLICK Combine adjacent MDUs from 4 x 4 screen to create larger display area (DU). Click on corresponding MDU and move cursor in diagonal direction while mouse button is pressed. Release mouse button when desired number of MDUs are merged to create a new display unit (DU). Example of a screen having 7 DUs. Go back to initial layout. (4x4) Apply modification Neglect modification.

5.1. Detailed Description - Screen Layout Assigning sequence numbers to DUs. To assign set up parameters to DUs for new layout, each DU is assigned with a number following rule below. DU at top of leftmost location has number 1. Number is increased as we move to right and to bottom. Reference position for location is top-left corner of each DU.

5.2. Detailed Description IP Set Up Input parameters needed for connection. 5.2.1. Detailed Description IP Set Up Selecting Address Group for Connection 1 Locate cursor on top of corresponding Address Group and press right mouse button. 2 Select Activate This Address Group from Pop-up menu. 3 Go back to main screen. Stop all connection and connect again.

5.3. Detailed Description - Hard Disk Configuration CLICK Create or erase folder to store video. You can assign up to 4 folders. Check check box to enable overwriting mode when assigned folders are full. Check to enable Overwrite mode. Assign maximum space for recording folder. Name of recording folder. Register recording folder. Search for or create a recording folder. Finish configuration

5.4. Detailed Description - Alarm Recording Selectively enable Recording on Alarm by each channel. Click on each of 16 rectangles to control recording on alarm. Enabled channel is marked as R. CLICK Set duration for alarm recording. Ch 1 Assign sound for notifying alarm. 5.5. Detailed Description Recording Schedule Set recording schedule for each channel in 1 hour resolution. CLICK Click on corresponding time to control recording. Selected time zone is indicated as a box having different background color. The selection is applied for single channel. The selection is applied for multiple channels. The selection is applied for all channels. Click on desired screen. Selected screen is shown in yellow color. Place cursor on top of a time slot. The tool tip will show channels having schedules on time slot. Select desired channel. You can select multiple channels. Only schedules entered after channel selection are applied. 5.6. Detailed Description - Playback CLICK If re is recorded file on date for selected screen page, this circle is shown in red color. Mark this button to select corresponding page.
