MHub 828 Hybrid IVMS One of the challenges of GSM monitoring vehicles or assets that travel out of GSM service range is the "dead spots" in the trips and high cost of roaming when not on the host GSM network. This device provides is a hybrid GSM/GPS unit with Iridium Satellite that automatically switches to GPS data transmission when GSM is out of range or in-country roaming has not been activated. This ensures tracking is maintained while data costs are limited. The device otherwise has the same functionality as the standard Mhub 828 device Key Features Features Automatic Vehicle Location [AVL] The MHub provides accurate location information. Additional information includes trip data, driver identification, input status, output control, speeding and odometer. Driver Management Active monitoring of abusive driver behavior, include excessive idle, harsh braking, excessive acceleration, speeding, over-revving and freewheeling. Zone Management Monitoring of entry and exit of user defined geofences. Distribution Management Scheduled delivery plans are downloaded to the MHub. Accident Reconstruction The MHub logs relevant vehicle data including location, speed, direction and harsh braking on a second-by-second basis. Power Modes The MHub has the ability to intelligently switch between various power modes while maintaining full functional ability. Temperature Monitoring Temperature monitoring of refrigeration compartments utilising digital temperature sensors with a range of -20 C to + 120 C. Least Cost Routing The MHub can select the least cost data transmission based on user defined parameters of location (i.e. roaming status), data priority and availability of communication bearers. In Vehicle Networks Interface to the standard J1939 or FMS Specification vehicle networks.
PDA Interface Communication and data file transfers between the PDA and back office platforms can be facilitated via the MHub Dynamic Trigger Configuration (DTC) Utilising an intelligent proprietary Dynamic Trigger Configuration (DTC) engine, any user defined event and an associated action can be configured and applied to the MHub unit over the air.
MHub 828 - GSM The MHub828 is primarily suited to users with sophisticated Fleet Management requirements. The device boasts a wide array of functionalities including distribution management, vehicle maintenance and operation (real time fuel consumption, brake usage, remote vehicle fault diagnostics), comprehensive accident reconstruction, integration with optimisation tools and back office platforms as well as other mobile hardware devices such as PDA's. The MHub828 unit has been deployed around the globe across a variety of industries including logistics, utilities, insurance, telecoms, public transport and emergency vehicles. Key Features Features Automatic Vehicle Location [AVL] Using its onboard Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver the MHub provides accurate location, trip data, driver identification, input status, output control, speeding and odometer. Driver Management Active monitoring of abusive driver behaviour safety. Zone Management Monitoring of entry and exit of user defined geofences. Accident Reconstruction The MHub logs relevant vehicle data including location, speed, direction and harsh braking on a second-by-second basis. Power Modes Using the latest technologies, the MHub has the ability to intelligently switch between various power modes while maintaining full functional ability. Temperature Monitoring Temperature monitoring of refrigeration compartments with a range of -20 C to + 120 C. Least Cost Routing Utilising a proprietary intelligent messaging engine, the MHub selects the least cost data transmission based on user defined parameters of location (i.e. roaming status), data priority and availability of communication bearers. In Vehicle Networks Interface to the standard J1939 or FMS Specification vehicle networks. PDA Interface Communication and data file transfers (i.e. invoices, routes, EPOD files, etc.) between the PDA and back office platforms are facilitated via the MHub.
