4 Logical and functional architecture Sateltrack arranges a multifuncional Web service platform with an advanced GPS/GPRS satellite system It allows acquiring, processing, managing and distributing by Web data as vehicle tracking or on-board main performance records to analize most critical efficiency factors. Gestionali Thanks to ASP (Application Service Providing) making applications and data resident, a server farm is available to authorised users located anywhere, via the Web, according to their own user profile, in their own language and without having to install any local software or modem. 5 Vehicle positioning and tracking Sateltrack is regularly updated with vehicle positions. These can be shown on a map to enable tracking and precise location. Position updates (with colored icons) occur regularly, on events and on request An exhaustive mapping facility allows you to track the Fleet on scaleable maps and zooming in from a worldwide overview to street level detail. 6 Point of interest management and location checking Sateltrack also provides a locations database available online An address locator to easily add customized points of interest (deposits, warehouses, shops, customers premises, ) is available on line. 9 Mission management Mission module allows to plan and control fleet s activity creating a temporal block Start time End time related to a specific vehicle and driver. In this temporal block Tasks can be defined (e.g. Load, Unload, Transit,...) both manually or interfacing external scheduling systems Any fleet's dispatcher can easily make his own business more efficient and keep an automatic mission update by setting customized rules Missions and tasks can be updated on-line Mission Module can be interfaced with external systems, allowing the automatic transfer of Missions in the form of travelling instructions, orders etc. This functionality is available prior a short analysis of requirements Page 9 of 18

10 A dedicated Scheduling function allows to quickly monitor and assign Missions to the vehicles and to graphically monitor the progress and completion of the single tasks. Linked with the execution of the Missions or over any event, even combined in complex algorithms, it is possible to generate Warnings and Alarms via and SMS, personalised on the specific needs. 13 Temperature management The refrigerator status and temperature level are monitored and recorded periodically. Data are available on an on-line report. 14 ERP Integration: designed for flexibility Sateltrack is a web-enabled software designed for maximum flexibility It provides the Fleet Manager with straight forward tools to create new user accounts. Access can be customized for employes, partners and even Clients It provides a fast and secure access to Clients, even directly from the company site, pushing up the company s technological image and service quality It allows easy integration with any Legacy system already in use using standard technologies like Web Services (XML). These advantages become reality with the Microsoft DYNAMICS NAV management system. In collaboration with certified partners of Microsoft, Cefin Systems has developed a series of features that allow Sateltrack RS3 applications to be integrated with the Microsoft ERP management environment. In practice, a two-way connection with the company s management system simplifies information flows and significantly reduces the need for manual data-entry operations. This produces significant advantages in terms of speed and correctness in issuing invoices and the availability of cost accounting data. Page 14 of 18

15 Redco S3: simple and powerful range of HW devices Redco S3 is a range of certified automotive info-telematics products based on GSM/GPRS communication technology and the GPS positioning system. From the basic locating system to the more complex logistic device, they all guarantee continuous position tracking, communication and protection of vehicles travelling across the whole of Europe and in all countries with adequate GSM coverage. The devices are capable of recognising and storing a vast range of events regarding a vehicle s technical aspects and activities (odometer reading, key on/off, accident, breakdown, battery flat, crossing of national borders, operation of any equipment installed onboard the vehicle, opening of doors,...) All the information stored on-board is sent at regular intervals via GPRS to the Sateltrack platform servers and recorded in the user area. Here all authorised users can access the information via Internet. Moreover also available... on-board display for two-way messaging and exchange of information with drivers and objective reporting by drivers of activities in progress, and... Bluetooth interface for connection to on-board devices to allow the GPS signal to be sent to any PDA or smart-phone equipped with navigation software And at the end an additional hardware module for reading data from on-board sensors (temperature, weight on axles, etc.) and from the CAN Bus (Controller Area Network Bus) of industrial vehicles to enable accurate and objective analysis of fuel consumption, vehicle performance data and driving patterns. 16 Two-way communication with vehicle and driver Text messages can be sent between Sateltrack and the vehicles or drivers. This facilitates more efficient communications between the dispatchers and the remote resources. The vehicle can send either text messages or predefined messages, which carry operational data Text messages can also be sent to the vehicle or any GSM phone number Installing the optional on board Display the drivers can communicate using pre-defined text messages and can receive formatted instructions (e.g. delivery orders) It is also possible to provide drivers or any operator working on the field with a Personal Tracker, which could operate autonomously or being associated with vehicles. 17 Semitrailer and container management The range of Redco S also comprises on-board devices of varying levels of autonomy and duration for installation on vehicles, semitrailers, trucks and non-powered containers. Management of these vehicles is thus fully integrated within the Sateltrack RS3 environment. Cefin Systems and its partners build on their engineering skills and expertise to implement tailor-made solutions and develop special devices to satisfy specific customer requirements. Semitrailers, or more in general any equipment, can be recognised automatically and record each attach or detach operations from any vehicle. Remote surveillance Easy and reliable security functions are available directly to the Fleet Manager, like driver identification before ignition, geofencing with alarms, remote ignition block. Moreover, on demand and thanks to partnership with leading remote surveillance companies we ensure that goods transported in appropriately equipped vehicles managed in the Sateltrack environment are protected against the risk of theft or robbery and that personnel have an escort 24 hrs a day.
