Deputy County Director, Information Communication Technology, JG Q An officer at this level will be responsible to the County Chief Officer, Information Communication Technology, for the formulation, implementation and coordination of ICT policies, strategies and programmes. a) Installation and maintenance of computer systems; b) Configuration of Local Area Network and Wide Area Network; c) Developing and updating application systems and carrying out systems analysis, design and programme specifications in liaison with users; d) Carrying out repairs and maintenance of Information Communication Technology equipment and associated peripherals; e) Drawing up hardware specifications for Information Communication Technology equipment; f) Verification, validation and certification of Information Communication Technology equipment; and overseeing the process of configuration of new Information Communication Technology equipment. For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a) A degree in any of the following fields: Computer Science/ Information Communication Technology or in Electronics/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution b) At least three years experience as Information Communication Technology Officer II or in an equivalent and relevant position and shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. 4. The Duties and responsibilities of the deputy Director Water will include; a) Development and implementation of departmental strategies and work plan b) Coordination, monitoring evaluation and implementation of County Water Development projects c) Ensure proper planning, design, construction and maintenance of water works d) Coordinating capacity building for both staff and community e) Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual programme performance report. f) Coordination between water department and water stakeholders and agencies. For a candidate to be appointed to this position of deputy County director of water he/she should be in possession of; a. Degree in water engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering or equivalent with strong bias to water and environmental engineering. b. Registered with engineer s registration Board. c. The duties and responsibilities of the Laboratory Technologists shall include; a) screening and receiving materials for carrying out water quality analysis b) storing, retrieving and issuing-out materials of analysis c) Submission of water quality reports. d) sampling at various sites; e) Carrying out field tests; f) Preparing reagents for analysis; g) Compiling and submitting laboratory reports. h) Maintaining records; and carrying out relevant laboratory analysis of samples. For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:- a) Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following disciplines:- Analyticalchemistry, Industrial chemistry ; industrial micro- biology or its equivalent from a recognized institution; and b) Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution. c) At least three (3) years relevant work experience in similar position In addition the candidate should be (i) Ready to work in any location within the County.
