About PTC Pasadena Tank Corporation (PTC) was founded in 1981 as a family owned company specializing in the repair and construction of steel aboveground storage tanks. Over the past 27 years, PTC has progressively grown as a recognized market leader with the ability to design and construct some of the largest tanks in the US. In 2008 PTC was acquired by and assumed the role of New Tank Construction Division of HMT, LLC. This new relationship provided the opportunity for PTC to offer tanks designed specifically to utilize HMT s state of the art technology to provide the owner with systems that provide maximum reduction of emissions. Our sales team s in-depth hands-on experience and knowledge of the tank industry enables us to cater to our customer s special needs. Fabrication Since inception PTC has always believed that a successful project is dependent on the timely delivery of high quality fabricated materials to the project site. To that end, PTC has developed and maintains a state of the art 60,000 square foot fabrication facility specific to tank fabrication. All tank components are fabricated in-house utilizing the latest high definition plasma burning tables, modern forming equipment and the latest automatic and semi-automatic welding processes. Through our on-site Techcote division, PTC offers full service shop surface preparation and priming of fabricated materials prior to delivery to the job site - without additional transportation or handling time and cost. Close coordination with PTC s Construction Project Management team assures that our fabrication efforts fully support specific project requirements. PTC owns and maintains specialized tank erection tools and equipment including track-mounted cranes and transportation trailers. We utilize the latest welding technology including vertical and horizontal shell and floor automatic welding equipment.
