Philosophy We have been living our dream since 1997, which is to have an independent, owner-operated company that not only handles your technical questions as well as the operation of your server but also delivers your media content. We achieve our project goals not just by using our knowhow and experience, but also with a lot of fun and passion for our work. The basis for this is our team: a colorful and diverse group of individuals who can count on each other and who gladly tackle unusual challenges. We are growing slowly, don t have any pressure from investors or stock markets and we take the necessary time for research and development which are the basis of our know-how. We select our new employees with this same care and before we hire someone for a permanent position, we take a full year to make sure that we have found the right person. You will get honest consultation from us; before, during and after the project. We do not achieve our clients' project goals at any cost, but rather we only offer what we can deliver. Because of that, we may not get every project, but we profit from the experiences our clients have with us and the resulting references. By the way, we acquire most of our new clients this way. History March 1997: Interlake GmbH was founded by two students, Stefan Salzbrunn and Sven Slazenger, who have known each other since secondary school and wanted to achieve their vision of honest consultation for IT technical problem solving beyond just getting business done. September 1997: Presentation of the second place prize for the most innovative German, student-run company. January 2001: With the opening of their offices in Munich, Interlake established itself in Germany s number one location as one of the few ColdFusion specialists in the European market. January 2002: Interlake begins its involvement in the field of web integration of audio-visual content. March 2005: Integration and management of server systems and technical processes crystallize as Interlake s core competencies clients from the US and outside of Europe start receiving support and management directly from the Jacksonville (Florida) office. April 2008: With the opening of the Potsdam-Babelsberg branch, Interlake shifted its activities in the online video branch to a more local, meaningful media location just outside of Berlin. July 2008: The foundation of our subsidiary, Interlake Media GmbH, also with its headquarters in Potsdam-Babelsberg, allowed for a clear separation of the two business areas: Interlake Media handles all technical issues pertaining to online video integration and hosting. They can always count on each other and they work side-by-side with their employees on projects. Dr. Stefan Salzbrunn is the man with the plan for our activities outside of Europe and he is based in Jacksonville (Florida). As CTO, he is directly involved in the technical development for the more important issues that arise. With his degree in chemistry, he is very much the clear, analytical type with foresight and vision: starting as a leading player in the European ColdFusion niche market, Interlake System has developed into a specialist for the integration and management of server systems and technical processes. The passionate soccer referee doesn't miss a single detail and he penalizes fouls and data bottlenecking equally with a red card. Sven Slazenger leads the teams in the Munich and Potsdam offices and runs the daily business. As a communication scientist, he has a knack for networking and he maintains Interlake s diverse European client base which ranges from large companies to one-man operations. In addition, he is also active as the vice president of the Federal Association of Service Providers for Online Merchants (Bundesverband der Dienstleister für Online Anbieter - BDOA e.v.) and as a deputy board director of the Swiss-German Business Club (Schweizerisch-Deutscher Wirtschaftsclub - SDW e.v.).
