Example #2 Air navigation strike / DGAC Crisis cell: Weather Assesses the necessity to restrict the trafic during the event, and how to do so, based on information from DSNA and DTA (Decision maker: DG / Minister) During the event: Organizes teleconferences with AOs/Air navigation services/met office Monitors respect of restrictions by AOs Monitors situation regarding public order in aiports Assesses if new decisions need to be taken regarding trafic restrictions Handles individual situations needing individual treatment, in the respect of safety and equity of users. Coordinates, as needed, with other governmental bodies Elaborates communication strategy in coordination with AOs/airports

Example #3 Volcanic ash cloud DGAC Crisis cell: 2010 Gathered informations available on the event (VAA/VAG, satellite observations, in situ observations ) Synthesized multidisciplinary information (Air navigation rules, safety regulations, recommendations from OEMs, positions of AOs ) Collected the positions of other governmental bodies in Europe In order to nourrish the decisions regarding the closing/reopening of the airspace (Decision maker: DG, Minister or higher) Handled communication on the event
