Use of the Mobile Deposit feature requires acceptance of our Mobile Deposit User Agreement in addition to a compatible mobile device and enrollment in Online Banking. 2
Login/Accounts Open the Point West Mobile App and click the upper left hand button then choose the Accounts option. You will be prompted to enter your member account number (Login ID) and password (same as what you use for Online Banking) as well as answer a security question. Once you are logged in, you will see a screen showing all of your accounts (shares and loans) as well as available balances. Click the arrow next to each account to view your transaction history. Main Main Menu Login Accounts To filter your history, simply enter a word or number in the filter box on the top of the screen. For example you may enter deposit to view your last deposits, enter a date to see what transactions happened on a certian day, or enter a keyword to search for transactions made with specific vendors. Accounts Menu On the upper right hand side of the accounts page is a menu button can do within your account.. Tap the menu button to view the options you Accounts Menu Share Transfer To do a transfer between your accounts, click the Share Transfer button. Then choose which account it is coming from* and which account you are transferring to. Enter the amount of the transfer, click submit, and a message will pop up to let you know if it was succesful. Share Transfer Choose account & amount Submit *Savings and Money Market limitations - up to six (6) transfers per calendar month, per suffix/account. The transfer limitation applies to preauthorized, automatic, overdraft, and telelphone transfers (including SpeedyLine, Online Banking & Mobile Banking) to another account of yours or a third party. A preauthorized transfer includes any arrangement with Point West Credit Union to pay a third party from your account upon writtne or oral orders (such as your automobile insurance company or health club, including orders received through the Automated Clearing House (ACH). There is no limit on the number of transactions you may make to another Point West Credit Union account or withdrawals (checks made directly to you) when such transfer or withdrawal is initiated in person, by mail, or at an ATM. 2
Loan Advance To do an advance from a Point West loan to one of your shares, click on the Loan Advance button in the accounts menu. Then choose which loan it is coming from, where it is going to and how much you would like to advance. Click submit and a message will appear to let you know if the advance was successful. Loan Advance Loan Payment Choose accounts & amount To make a payment to a Point West loan using one of your Point West share accounts, choose Loan Payment from the accounts menu. Then choose which loan you want to make a payment to, the account you want to pay it from, and how much the payment is for. Cross Account Transfer To do a transfer between your account and another Point West account number, click the Cross Account Transfer button. Enter the account number you will be transferring to and click submit. Then choose the account you want to transfer from*, the account you are transferring to, and the amount to transfer. Mobile Deposit To make a mobile deposit using the app, click the Mobile Deposit button in the accounts menu. If it is your first time using the Mobile Deposit feature, a Help Guide will appear first to go through the steps as well as provide examples. Once you have reviewed the guide you may make your deposit. The Help Guide can be accessed at any time by clicking the menu icon in the upper right hand of the mobile deposit feature. Choose which account you want to deposit the check. Fill in the amount of the check in the Amount section and be sure to add your email address. Mobile Deposit Help Guide Choose account & amount Under Check Front, tap the Capture Image button. Then follow the steps to capture the image. Be sure the check is on a dark, smooth background with no glare or interfering patterns. The Help Guide has great examples of good backgrounds to use. When the check is aligned, hold your device steady and the check image will be captured. 5
Mobile Deposit Review the check image to make sure the account number and check amount are visible. If everything looks accurate, click yes: use. If something is incorrect or not visible, click no: retake. Please refer to the Help Guide for examples of check images that can be used. Repeat the same steps for the back of the check. Be sure that the back of your check is endorsed. Again, there are great examples in the Help Guide in the mobile app. Once both sides of the checks have been captured and approved by you, then hit the submit button. A message will appear letting you know it has been submitted for review. You will receive an email letting you know we have received your check and a second email letting you know when it is available to you. You can use the History button in the Mobile Deposit menu to view the current status of the deposit. Be sure to write the date the check was posted to your account on the check and hold on to it for 60 days before destroying it. $250.00 12/7/2013 3:30:25 PM Pending Email Approval Email Mobile deposits have a three (3) business day hold once posted to your account. Mobile deposit limits are 10 items per month or a total of $5,000.00, whichever comes first, with a daily limit of $1,500.00. Deposit History 6
Pay Bills From the home screen, access the Main Menu using the button in the upper-left hand corner. Click the button that says Pay Bills to access your Point West Bill Pay account. You will need to establish a bill pay account using Point West Online Banking before you can access it through the Mobile App. Home Main Menu The first screen will show any Pending Payments you have in your Bill Pay account. You can click the menu icon in the upper right hand corner to access the Bill Pay Menu to add payments or view your payment history. Pending Payments Bill Pay Menu 7
Add Payment Click the Add Payment button to make a payment to a saved payee. Choose the payee you want to make a payment to, then type the amount you want to transfer/pay and the date you want it sent. Click Add Payment to complete the process. Note: You cannot add new payees through the app, you must use the Bill Pay website to set up new payees. Bill Pay Menu Pay To Amount, Date & Submit If you need to cancel the payment, click on the payment in your Pending Payments screen and tap the Cancel button. If you need edit the payment, simply tap the Update button to change the details of the payment. Cancel or Update 8
Payment History If you would like to view your Bill Pay payment history, go to the Bill Pay menu (upper right menu icon) and tap the Payment History button. You will view a screen that has your payment history. Similar to your Accounts history, you can filter your history to view specific payments. Payment History Filter 9
Contact Us From the Main Menu, choose the Contact Us button to access a link to our website, important phone numbers, send us an email or view our branch and ATM locations. ATM/Branches Main Menu Contact Us To find a Shared Branch or ATM location near you, tap the ATM/Branches button in the Main Menu. The app will open a map that will populate with nearby locations. You can also use the small gear icon in the bottom right corner to choose to only see Shared Branches or ATMs instead of both. You can also enter your zip code or exact address in the search bar at the top of the map to find locations for a specific area. Main Menu Map & Search Bar Map Settings 10
About/Clear Login/Help From the Main Menu, you can also view the details of the app (such as which version it is), clear your login history, or get help for common issues. Main Menu About Help Mobile Banking Safety Tips Avoid Using The Mobile App on Public Networks. Public networks (free Wi-Fi hotspots are not very secure. We don t recommend using these types of connections when accessing the mobile app. Use you cellular data network instead. Use a PIN or passcode. The mobil app allows you to save your Login ID and other credentials. Keep ALL aspects of your phone/tablet safe by using a security PIN and lock time found in you settings. Don t tell. Don t share. Treat the mobile app as you would your online account - don t share your login information with anyone. Another reminder: memorize your login - don t keep these details in your wallet. Stay up-to-date. As with any app, there may be periodic updates to improve functionality. Make sure you are using the latest version of the mobile app to avoid potential issues and enjoy all the benefits! Avoid Giving Info Via Emails. Our practice is to communicate via website/blog, epoints emails and the messages in Online Banking. We will NEVER ask you to give personal info (account #, SSN, etc) via these channels.
