2 Remove the pking mteril from the mhine d Lift the elsti nd off the drum. IMPORTANT DO NOT onnet the AC power ord yet. Remove the pking tpe from the outside of the mhine nd the film overing the snner glss. Open the front over. e Pull the pper strip to remove the protetive mteril s shown in the illustrtion. Remove the Sili Pk from the inside of the mhine. f Tke out the drum unit nd toner rtridge ssemly. CAUTION DO NOT et the Sili Pk. Disrd immeditely. 3
g Gently shke it from side to side severl times to distriute the toner evenly inside the ssemly. 3 Lod pper in the pper try Pull the pper try ompletely out of the mhine. h Put the drum unit nd toner rtridge ssemly k in the mhine. While pressing the green pper-guide relese lever, slide the pper guides to fit the pper size you re loding in the try. Mke sure tht the guides re firmly in the slots. i Close the front over of the mhine. 1 4
For Legl or Folio size pper, press the relese utton in the ottom of the pper try nd then pull out the k of the pper try. (Legl or Folio size pper re not ville in some regions.) d Put pper in the try nd mke sure: The pper is elow the mximum pper mrk ( ). Over filling the pper try will use pper jms. The side to e printed on must e fe down. The pper guides touh the sides of the pper so it will feed properly. 1 Fn the stk of pper well to void pper jms nd misfeeds. e Put the pper try firmly k in the mhine. 4 Connet the power ord nd telephone line IMPORTANT DO NOT onnet the interfe le yet. Connet the AC power ord to the mhine, nd then plug it into n AC power outlet. Turn on the mhine s power swith. Connet the telephone line ord. Connet one end of the telephone line ord to the jk on the mhine mrked LINE nd the other end to modulr wll jk. If you re shring one telephone line with n externl telephone, onnet it s shown elow. We reommend Mirosoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (or greter) or Firefox 3.0 (or greter) for Windows nd Sfri 3.0 (or greter) for Mintosh. Plese lso mke sure tht JvSript nd ookies re lwys enled in whihever rowser you use. To use we rowser, you will need to know the IP ddress of the print server. The IP ddress of the print server is listed on the Network Configurtion Report. Open your rowser.
