DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT The interior of a yacht is a space with very demanding design and quality requirements, due to the irregular shapes of such interiors, precise fitting and installation requirements, as well as the owner s preferred style. Wooden interiors on a yacht have to withstand sometimes rather extreme temperature and humidity changes, conceal equipment installations and structural elements, as well as be safe, environmentally friendly and easy to maintain. That is why we put a great deal of effort into development, design and planning, which enables us to create products that will perfectly fulfil our clients needs. The process of development starts with a design or 3D scan of a model, either at small scale or at a scale of 1:1. On the basis of this data, construction and work plans are made. We use the latest CAD-CAM technologies, namely the 3D package TopSolid, TopWood and TopCam, which enables the transfer of data directly from a drawing to production machinery.
MANUFACTURING Our yacht furnishings production facilities include an ultra-modern and ecological varnishing plant capable of producing finishes of superb quality and beauty. In order to achieve the feel of luxury and opulence, the latest and most advanced machines and computers need the helping hand of experienced and highly skilled craftsmen for that special artistic appearance of the final product. Before mechanical treatment, each piece of wood is carefully examined and sorted by hand. We use the most modern woodworking machines for more demanding furniture configurations, along with a variety of small and large moulds. The final treatment of the wood is performed by machines as well as by hand. Our skilled workers, who examine every piece individually, carefully check all semi-products. In the Assembly Department, the semi-products are systematically packed into pasteboard boxes or palettes and carefully labelled to prepare the goods for shipment. The Bobič team then assembles and installs the furnishings in the vessel, aircraft, home, business office or any other interior. Besides interior furnishings we are also experienced in laying teak on decks and terraces. From the idea through final installation, Bobič is a full-service partner you can always rely on.
TRADITION starts working in their own premises and becomes a cooperator of some biggest companies in ex Yougoslavia. We were making furniture for hotels, banks, private areas and offices. Son Jože joins the company. The production area is expanded for the second time and the technology was still up-to-date. Jože soon becomes a co-owner of the company and helps the company to become even more successful on the market. Together with the company ID- Interior Design we ve won the first prize Kristal 1990 for the luxury office furniture. was selling their own trademark childrens furniture Bar&Co. We have furnished lots of banks, hotels and private areas around Europe. We were also exporting to the United States of America. moves its business to the new production hall in an industrial zone Cikava in Novo mesto. 25 employees worked on the 4800 m2 of production area. is placed amongst the 500 fastest growing companies in Slovenia. In the socialistic system that was a huge achievement considering that political circumstances weren t favourable for the small entrepreneurs. Difficult conditions somehow forced Jože Bobič senior to make his own wooden machines and for ten years he and five other employees worked in a rented premises. First expansion of the production area and modernization of machinery. Modern wood treatment machines enabled the company Bobič interiors to become even more competitive on the market and continue its successful journey. is taken over by son Jože and a year later he doubles the production area, provides the most advanced Germany made machinery and increases the number of employees.
