Boxlight Interactive setup Important: Ensure that the USB dongle is securely inserted in the USB port for the tablet. (see images below) Step 1: Power on your tablet and log in using your EAD credentials. Note: It is important that the BOXLIGHT s USB Dongle is connected properly to your tablet and kept in a secure location whenever it is not in use. Step 2: Press the top of the pen to power on the BOXLIGHT Light pen (see picture below) Page 2 of 6
Boxlight Interactive Projector Calibration The Calibration feature is used to help calibrate the accuracy of your light pen whenever interactive with the image projected onto the whiteboard. Step 1: The SP6 Driver Icon can be found in your systems tray. Two ways to find the driver icon are illustrated below. Right Click on the SP6 Driver icon on your notification bar and left click on the Calibration option. Wireless Display (Projector section) Step 1: Step 2: Power on the Projector, this can be done by pressing the Red power button on the actual Remote located on the upper left side. With your Boxlight Remote select the input button on the top right side till you have selected USB icon on the lower right side of the screen. Note: Shortly after USB was selected, a screen called EZ Suite will appear on the lower right side of the display. Boxlight Remote Step 3: To navigate through EZ Suite, use the inner direction button within the area of the USB line (between the middle row with the LASER & MUTE button and the bottom row with the AUTO & BLANK buttons). Select EZ Display as seen in the picture below and press Enter on the remote. Step 4: Once you select EZ Display, use the inner direction buttons to select EZ LAN as seen in the picture below (Left side). Note: Once EZ LAN is selected, the screen will change and provide information which will be needed for when configuring EZ View program on the Surface Pro tablets Page 4 of 6
Step 5: Step 6: Wireless Display (Tablet section) Power on your tablet and log in with your EAD information After logging in, ensure the tablet is connected to DISDWIFI, using your EAD information as your credential. It is recommended to connect to this network in order for Note: If the tablet is unable to connect to DISDWIFI, please contact Dallas ISD Technical Assistance Center (TAC) or your Campus Base Technician. Step 7: Double click on the EZ View software located on your desktop (as seen on the picture to the right) Note: For first time launching the software a Windows Security Alert Firewall will appear as seen on the picture on the right. Do not change the default settings then click on Allow access. If the software is not installed please visit http://www.boxlight.com/software-downloads, under the ProjectoWrite6 Downloads select LightPen-Dual and Mouse Driver for P6 Step 8: After double clicking the EZ View software, a window will appear asking for an IP Address, type in the IP address from the information on the whiteboard as seen in the pictures. Then click Start Step 9: After clicking Start, a new window will appear as seen in the picture below. For the audio to be transfer to the TopCat system, is important that the audio Steaming is set to on. Page 5 of 6
Facts: For first time use, calibrating your interactive set is necessary Battery Replacement, unscrew the lower part of the pen, remove cap and old batteries replace with 2 AAA batteries then screw cap back on Projector Lamp life is up to 2500 hours of usage Projector will automatically power off after 15 minutes of no video signal. USB Dongle is coded to projector in your classroom. Ensure that the dongle is kept in a safe place if not in use. Your shadow can interrupt the pen operation.
