参考范文 : 小站教育版 Recently, frequent bouts of extreme weather and climate events are threatening millions of lives in various regions around the world to such an extent that humans should not look on with folded arms any longer. We need to live with the climate change and prevent it at the same time. First and foremost, human society has to be confronted with climate changes anyway. They are inevitable for the two reasons. One is the inbuilt inertia of the ecosystem, which leads to the continuing warming effects during the next decades even if all the emissions stop today, and the other is the technology difficulty, which takes a long period to shift the global economy from the base of fossil fuels to renewable energies. Therefore, a wide range of adjustments have to be made. There may be more severe floods and droughts, to resolve which problem, the techniques of artificial rainfall, sub drainage as well as real-time supervision and timely forecast should be strengthened and developed. What s more, several industries should be revolutionized to better adapt to the changing climate. Agriculturally, meticulous selection of
the water, drought, cold and heat resistant crops will be favored. As regards forestry, desertification can be slowed down by planting more trees while in terms of animal husbandry, grass seeds should be more diversified. However, acclimatization does not necessarily mean capitulation in the battle against the climate change. Despite the impracticality to halt the alteration, the process can be postponed. One possible approach is to enforce strict laws, punishing environmentally destructive activities and deterring mercenary businesses and individuals from releasing astonishing amounts of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Another means is a concerted effort made by the global communities which are currently working individually for inconsistent targets. Additionally, the green house effect which is caused by gas emitted by cars might increase the temperature of the
earth, contributing to bringing more looming disasters to human beings, such as more frequent flood and more serious famine. In conclusion, although preventing climate change may bring barriers to the economic development, nothing is more significant than everybody s safety and health. In the absence of facilities or technologies, those countries have difficulties in balance the economy and the environment. For this reason a large number of people will unfortunately sacrifice their wishes of living in a comfortable zone, but accept the degenerated living surroundings. However, this doesn't automatically mean that we may simply surrender in the battle against the climate change. After all the rare effort may
contribute to the even more outrageous climate disasters, including the glacier melting, drought and flood. In this case, there must be some measures adopted to prevent the regression. One possible approach to urge government to enforce strict laws. These laws can punish environmentally destructive activities and determine businesses and individuals from releasing astonishing amount of carbon dioxide and other kinds of greenhouse gas, Which can effectively postpone the process of global warming. Moreover, in coping with this issue countries worldwide may join forces and make a concerted instead of working individually for inconsistent targets. For example those economically and technologically advanced nations can provide their aids to their less-advanced counterparts in order to restore the environment there. As analysed above the climate change seems to be inevitable and inextricably intertwined with the economic development. However if we collaborate with each other, this phenomenon can be addressed properly. (346 words )

Admittedly, climate change may contribute to more disasters, which may be detrimental to human beings. Initially, adjusting to the change of the environment may be an optimal choice to maintain the stability of our society. Although some environmentally friendly technologies are adopted currently, a lot of traditional industries that do harm to the environment still exist. If governments directly forbid those industries, the unemployment rate will soar steeply, causing social conflicts as a result. In order to avoid such a phenomenon, governments need to find alternatives to adjust to the environment, but not roughly closing those obsolete factories.
Furthermore, compared to preventing climate change, living with it seems more realistic. It is true that human beings cause and accelerate the process of climate change, but it does not necessarily mean that human beings could reverse this tendency. For example, if people reduce the use of private cars, the tendency of global warming may be slower, but the temperature of the earth may still rise gradually. Thus, compared to eliminating such a tendency, developing some new technologies that could still function under a new environment may be more suitable and practical. In sum, considering that preventing climate change may do harm to the economy and cannot be executed in reality, adjusting to the new environment may be a more applicable choice for human beings. 唐老雅版 Climate change has become a worldwide issue in recent decades. The Earth, according to some scientists, is becoming warmer and warmer and this is an alert signal for the future safety of the Earth. For these scientists, we must do something to prevent the climate from becoming worse. Meanwhile, there are also scientists who do not think much of the climate change and therefore suggest that we do nothing but find a way to live with it. For my part, I agree with the second group of scientists. To reverse the climate change is never an easy undertaking. The widely acknowledged causes of climate change include the automobile gas emissions, factory pollution, deforestation, among others. If we wish to prevent the climate change, we will have to significantly reduce the use of cars and airplanes, close most of the factories and stop people from cutting trees. This means that, in order to make the Earth become cooler by one or two centigrade degree, our normal life will have to sacrifice. This is a cost most of us would never want to pay, although we have been repeatedly told of the benefits of doing so to the future generation.
Then, in face of climate change, rather than trying to prevent it, we'd better try to find a way to live with it. For instance, when the hotter climate makes it impossible to grow a certain vegetable in summer, we can grow it earlier than now, store it and then eat it when the weather becomes too hot. Also, we can develop new technologies to grow the vegetable we need even when the climate has changed. Furthermore, when it is necessary, we can make adjustments about our work hours. If the weather has become intolerably hot, we can have a few days off and make up when it gets back to normal. Such flexibilities will help us solve the climate change problem and at the same time will not bring down our productivity. Climate change is not a good thing, but for the time being, I do not think we should take expensive and costly measures to prevent it. Rather, I believe we should find a way to live with it.
