Damen Shiprepair Brest, previously known as Sobrena Shiprepair, joins a strong network of Damen ship repair and conversion yards. Damen Shipyards now has 11 yards worldwide that are dedicated to ship repair and conversion work, with eight yards in Europe and three in the Middle East. All of our repair yards are located in easily accessible ports with most of our European yards based around the North Sea and have excellent maritime infrastructure. We enjoy a reputation built on competitive prices, short lead times and high quality workmanship, which results in minimal vessel downtime. With decades of building and repair knowledge at our fingertips and highly skilled teams, we are able to repair all kinds of vessels. Damen shiprepair and conversion yards offer our clients the full range of services a shipowner may require whether this concerns regular dry dockings for scheduled maintenance, damage repair or extensive refit and conversion jobs. Our facilities, which include 25 drydocks, range from very large drydocks and covered facilities to smaller shiprepair yards, more suitable for inland vessels. damen shiprepair BREST Damen Shiprepair Brest is a well-established repair yard with modern facilities. It has three drydocks, the largest being 420 x 80 m, which is one of the biggest in Europe, allowing the yard to accommodate almost any ship in the world. Also repair quays with sufficient craneage are available. The shiprepair yard offers a broad range of services for many vessel types including LNG Tankers, oil tankers, semi-submersibles, shuttle tankers, FPSOs, offshore construction vessels, jack-up rigs, cruise liners, ro-ro vessels and ferries. Our highly skilled workforce is particularly well known for its vast LNG tanker expertise.

A foundry for rebabbiting bearings and balancing benches are also available. steel With 8,000 sq.m, the steel workshop has overhead gantry cranes of up to 40t and an opening skylight roof, allowing it to fabricate steel modules of 150t. These can then be transferred directly from the workshop to either dock No.3 or repair berth No.4. This workshop is fully equipped with cutting benches, rollerpresses, welding machines, MIG TIG and other ancillary tools necessary for steelwork. pipefitters As well as the standard tools and machines used for the fabrication of pipes of up to 1,200 mm in diameter, the pipe shop has a hydraulic pickling and flushing plant, together with the equipment necessary to carry out high pressure testing and boiler work. painters Using mobile towers operated from the dock bottom, hulls can be H.P. washed, blasted/swept and painted quickly. Large-blasting pots and remote control blasters make painting very efficient. Airless spray equipment also gives good and quick coverage.
