The Role: The lead generation team is responsible for identifying business prospects, gaining the correct information and generating new sales leads. By ascertaining business energy details we are then able to identify energy solutions for UK businesses. Speaking directly to the decision maker of the business, a professional telephone manner is key. Data input, managing data efficiently and follow up email communication are the main aspects of the role therefore it is advantageous to be proficient in MS office packages. Training and Support: We offer intensive training that can last approximately a week. In this time you will learn about the company and its services. You will also be given an introduction into business energy and legislation. A lead generation team leader will actively coach and instruct you through the first month of employment to ensure that all calls are dealt with correctly. Continued support and guidance is offered throughout this role as a quality control measure. The Lead Generation role can be the first step into a career with Utility Bidder. Learning about the business and effectively promoting our services can lead to progression to admin roles, sales roles and, in some cases, management roles. The Candidate: As a lead generation agent makes the initial contact with prospective clients, it is an advantage to have experience in customer service. Within the sales role we would need you to effectively promote the relevant services of Utility Bidder and to optimise the overall value of each sale. You must be organised to become a sales executive. You will need to respond to follow up calls and returns quickly and efficiently in order to maintain company presence, build up relationships with clients and to maintain customer records.
Training and Support: It is beneficial to have sales experience should you wish to enter directly into this role. We do offer intensive training to individuals without previous experience should we feel you have the qualities to deliver in our sales team. Although advantageous to have previous experience, it is not essential. If being a sales executive is a career you would like to pursue then we will help you to get there. Initially, we will introduce telephone training within the lead generation team. Whilst in this trainee role, you will learn about the demands and needs of our clients, the fluctuations within the energy market and the services Utility Bidder offer. Our admin department doesn t just file documentation and answer phones, it is a vital part of the running of Utility Bidder. Primarily supporting the sales team, our admin department is responsible for ensuring all contracts are completed correctly, submitted in a timely manner and keep the database updated with the sales. Our admin team ensures all procedures are followed correctly by our sales team by juggling several different tasks at a time. I have been a part of admin team for nearly three years and I have enjoyed working with all the other departments. The Role: Working directly with the sales department and the directors of Utility Bidder it is important that all queries and submissions are dealt with in an efficient, timely method. Although there are usually set tasks for an administrator, having the ability to multi-task and juggle workload is essential as you will be approached with high priority jobs throughout the working day. Updating and maintaining our content management system to guarantee the smooth transition of supplier-client relations. Training and Support: We offer intensive on the job training for all office administrators. We feel it is important that the trainee administrator understands the process from beginning to end, from generating leads through to our sales aftercare service. To do this we would usually team up our new recruits with more experienced members of the team. The department works together as a team so there is always someone to offer support after initial training has taken place. We continually strive to improve every department within Utility Bidder, therefore we encourage all employees to show initiative in implementing processes to develop the business. The Candidate: Experience in MS office software packages is essential. Great communication skills are needed to liaise with staff, suppliers and clients. Organisational skills are essential to ensure all work is completed efficiently. You must be willing to learn about all departments of the business including our internal database and work well as part of a team. You will have an ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure and a meticulous eye for detail. Previous experience in a similar role is preferable, however all training will be given. Our IT department is vital to ensure that all systems are running correctly. We heavily rely on our database for all call recordings, allocation of leads and details of every contract sold, so all hardware and software must be heavily monitored and any issues must be instantaneously resolved by the IT team. It is a demanding job but our IT team do not fail to react quickly and efficiently to any internal problem that may arise. Supporting all departments, the team work closely with managers to aid the implementation of new systems that increase productivity. I have had really good training since being here and there are some great opportunities to progress within the business. Keeping up to date with the new services, products and offers from Utility Bidder, the marketing team promote and advertise all aspects of the business. The marketing department aims to increase brand recognition by updating and maintaining promotional material and documentation, attending events and effectively gaining more inbound business calls. We want to be one step ahead of the competition, so with many new services and offers in the pipeline, the marketing department briefs the sales agents, produce all relevant material and advertise these using online and printed media. Not only do we want to gain new customers but we aim to retain all of our existing clients.
