6 DIRECTOR, FMCG and Retail MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES In recent years, Epinion has made significant investments in market research technologies and building up capability across different countries. With these investments, Epinion wants to challenge the traditional approach to problem solving in market research industry and ensure its clients act with tomorrow s logic. As our new Director, you will be charged with the assignment to ensure this happens within the FMCG and Retail vertical in Vietnam. Your task will be to run, position and grow our business within FMCG and Retail and ensure that we fully realize the potential. In the role as Director, you will be working closely with several client service teams. In close cooperation with the Group Business Area Leader for FMCG and Retail, you will take a key role in the development of Epinion s service portfolio. The right candidate will be joining Epinion Group s Senior Management Team and will report to the Managing Director, Asia. THE JOB IN DETAILS CLIENT SERVICING Introduce services and challenge the client s perception and thinking Build client partnerships with targeted clients Undertake sales activities independently and in cooperation with account managers Develop proposals and prepare world-class credentials that can be used across teams Drive client satisfaction by providing high quality deliverables 6

7 DIRECTOR, FMCG and Retail MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Achieve revenue and profitability targets. Ensure continuous market scoping initiatives and manage pipeline Contribute to overall business development by generating revenue and/or cost savings ideas FUNCTIONAL Develop and nurture deep expertise within research techniques and FMCG and Retail Catalogue knowledge and expertise for easy access by others Proactively share expertise Identify and recommend new services PEOPLE MANAGEMENT Ensure recognition of effective work performance Inspire people to challenge the status-quo Coach account managers on account planning Coach researchers on research design and best practices 7

8 DIRECTOR, FMCG and Retail REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE University degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Studies, Statistics, Social Science or related fields. 10+ years working experience in market research and a deep understanding of FMCG and Retail. Proven track record in building teams, business development and holding P/L responsibility. Desire and ability to drive sales and business development. Leadership experience from an international company. Persuasive communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Can-do attitude, high level of commitment and self-motivation. Goal oriented, driven to achieve; having a sense of urgency and a demonstrated ability to go above and beyond the call of duty. Demonstrates enthusiasm, confidence and an optimistic outlook. Experience and understanding of emerging research techniques is a plus. Expert knowledge and experience with segmentation, usage and attitude and/or shopper research is also a plus. 8
