Data sheet PCB Components The BLZP PCB Connector in. and.8 Pitch Extended functionality with the plus/minus screw, open terminal point and protection from under insertion for our range of BLZ socket blocks BLZP. 9 / 18 /7 BLZP.8 9 /18 /7 BLZP.8 The BLZP is the functional extension to the well-known, market-tested, tried and true BLZ family. It is equipped with the same proven fastening mechanisms such as the flange, release lever and release latch. The application scope is as large as that of the BLZ, because of compatible accessories and colour choices. All versions of the BLZP have the following additional features. A plus/minus screw: Enables use with electric or pneumatic power tools Delivered with open terminal points: Quickens the wiring time and reduces costs Integrated protection from under insertion: This prevents an accidental insertion of the wire below the clamping area. The BLZP PCB Connector in. and.8 Pitch Accessories A short description of the BLZP LH release lever LR release bar Possible colors Additional colours on request Coding See chapter accessories Cable grip See chapter accessories Hood See chapter accessories In response to customer demand and continual observation of the market, the standard BLZ and been supplemented with the following functions: A plus/minus screw: Enables the use of standard crosshead screwdrivers. Because of the screw's torque resistance, the use of electric and pneumatic power tools is also possible. This can save time and money. Delivered with clamping yoke fully open: This is made possible by an advanced construction technique at Weidmüller. The clamping yoke does not need to be opened first with a screwdriver before inserting the wire. This results in an additional opportunity for saving time and money. Protection against under insertion of wire: The right path toward process safety. If the wiring needs to be changed, the underinsertion protection prevents you from accidentally sticking the wire under the clamping yoke. This is an error that is often only detectable after much troubleshooting. The shared functions of the BLZP and BLZ Direct printing: The socket blocks have surfaces at each pole which are designed for long-lasting labelling. This allows each connection to be labelled individually. InkJet, TampoPrint and Laserprint are available, according to your requirements. Selective gold-plated contacts: The typical choices for gold-plated contacts are: applications with minimal currents and minimal voltages, measurement applications (such as PT or thermocouples), and applications exposed to vibrations (protection against abrasive corrosion). This is an affordable option for these applications since the contact surfaces are selectively gold-plated only in the contact area. Additional fastening on the front plate or on the pin header: The screw flange mechanism is the classic and most wide spread solution for preventing an unwanted connector separation due to vibrations or strain. In confined space it is often difficult to gain access to and grab the plug-in connectors. In order to be able to separate male and female connectors easily, Weidmüller has developed special connectors with a release lever. The release lever has to be braced against a surface in order to operate properly. This is achieved by using male connectors with a fixed flange, or devices with a suitably designed front panel. The lever can be operated either by hand or with a screwdriver. plugged in released In addition to its release function, the release bar, in combination with the flange versions of the SL-SMT male connectors, also has a "locking" function. After the connector has been plugged in, the release bar is locked. Releasing this enables the plug-in connector to be easily separated again. The lever can be operated either by hand or with a screwdriver. locked released Marking strips See chapter accessories 8 Subject to technical alterations and amendments without notice Printed in Germany /7 SMMD
