What is an app, and how do the journal apps differ from the mobile journal websites? An app, short for application, is a piece of software that must be installed on a specific device, such as iphone or ipad. The journal apps, Radiology and RadioGraphics, are only available for iphones, ipads, and Android phones and tablets, and must be downloaded from either the itunes App Store or the Google Play store. The mobile journal websites are designed to function on as many devices as possible; to access the mobile sites, you do not need to install anything on your smartphone or tablet. For more information about the mobile journal websites, visit our mobile site page at http://pubs.rsna.org/page/help/mobilesite. 8. I have a Blackberry or Windows Phone. How can I get journal content on my device? Readers on Blackberry or Windows devices may access the journals via our mobile website by entering in pubs.rsna.org on your smartphone s browser. INSTALLING THE APP 9. Where do I find the apps? From either the itunes App Store or Google Play, search for RSNA and look for the R or RG logos pictured below. Once you have found the journal apps, download them just as you would with any other application; if you have any questions about installing the apps, please contact us at pubsfeedback@rsna.org. Or, you may install them right away on your device using the QR codes below: Requirements: ipad, iphone, or Android smartphone or tablet QR reader app itunes or Google Play account 10.
