As an academic, I am interested in the following fields and issues: diaspora, cultural studies, philosophy for children, heritage management and conservation, feminism and gender-construction and colonial history. I constantly look for avenues for further learning and opportunities to meet and interact with people inside and outside the institutions I am affiliated with. I have traveled in the USA, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong as well as some parts of the country. 5
