5 Master of Arts in Education (MAED) Major: Educational Management This course aims to equip teachers with the necessary skills in educational management to enable them to assume positions of managerial responsibility in the school system. Specifically, it aims to: 1. update and enrich teachers content knowledge in educational management; 2. enhance and expand teachers theoretical and technical knowledge in teaching a specific subject area or professional area; and. develop teachers research capabilities for replicating, verifying, validating, contextualizing, and/or applying theoretical and practical knowledge about the different aspects of the educational process. 6 Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) Major in: Nursing Service Administration (NSA) Maternal and Child Health (MCH) This program educates professional nurses for advanced practice in nursing as clinical nurse specialists, nurse managers, adult nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners and provide a foundation for doctoral study in nursing. The curriculum includes the integration of nursing science, concepts and theories from related disciplines, along with practice and research. Opportunity is provided to pursue individual interests with respect to clientele and healthcare settings. General Objectives The Master of Arts in Nursing program is designed to prepare qualified nurses in the Philippines and abroad for clinical specialization, leadership and evidence-based nursing major in Nursing Service Administration and Maternal and Child Health. Both programs require the completion of a practicum and a thesis. The practicum provides students opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills they learned in the academic environment to the community, state, or public health institutions. The thesis provides students opportunities to study health problems in depth, using analytic and research skills. The program is intended for professional nurses to increase competence in various fields of nursing, including education, research and clinical practice. Specifically, the Master of Arts in Nursing -Major in Nursing Service Administration aims to: 1. develop advanced knowledge and skills in the nursing service through application of nursing theories and principles, research and evidenced-based practice; 2. analyze economic policy, environmental, and social forces impact to health care delivery systems and quality of nursing services;. practice critical thinking about current problems and issues affecting the nursing administration and address health challenges; 4. demonstrate analytical skills in leadership, practice, policy analysis, teaching, research, program management and professional communication; 5. respect the inherent dignity, worth and individuality of every person in the practice of his/her profession.

9 Master in Public Administration (MPA) The MPA program is designed to enhance the skills, knowledge and managerial capability of qualified government officials and individuals to prepare them for further responsibilities in government institutions especially in the implementation of public policies and development programs.
