Was responsible for developing and introducing the concept of MoUs in public sector units while on deputation with Department of Public Enterprises as Director during 1988 to Five years experience as OSD to the Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, overseeing policy formulation, Centre-States relations and other developmental issues relating to the Centre and States. Was closely involved with the development of NIC and setting up of the first Info Super Highway by NIC during the period 1991 to 1996 (NIC at that time was part of the Planning Commission). Four years experience as Advisor to Raksha Mantri and External Affairs Minister. In the Defence Ministry, responsibilities included advising and overseeing of matters relating to defence acquisitions, including formulation of defence procurement procedures and policies and re-vitalization of Defence Acquisition Council. Was actively involved in the processing and implementation of Kelkar Committee Report on Defence Procurement. Initiated the performance review and strengthening of DRDO and 8 defence public sector undertakings. In MEA, responsibilities included matters relating to neighbouring countries, P-5, SAARC, EU and UN. Initiated Passport Sewa Project which is now under implementation. Advised and assisted the Minister in all matters relating to over 55 Groups of Ministers dealing with important policy matters. Nine years experience of working in various media units of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting including Press Information Bureau, Doordarshan, All India Radio and Research Reference and Training Division. While working as Director of R&RTD, a number of research papers and reference volumes were compiled. 4

Conducted numerous training workshop and seminars on management in public sector and other research & educational establishments. Was responsible for the running of two television channels i.e. DD-Sports and DD-India during the posting as Additional Director General of Doordarshan,.
