Your role Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with QPS as outlined above. Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces The position is responsible for and contributes to the development, management, and review of intranet and internet web publishing for the Library and Knowledge Centre sites and for providing technical support and advice to clients. Manage the inter-library loan services and system to ensure requests from clients are processed in a timely manner and within key performance measures Manage the journal collection maintenance, circulation, acquisitions, and inter-library loans modules of the library information management system and ensure maintenance of library stock Provide reference and research support services to clients using resources available through the Library and Knowledge Centre, Clinical Knowledge Network (CKN), intranet and internet - 2 -

Provide instruction and support to clients in the use of intranet and internet sites (e.g. QHEPS intranet), online resources and databases (e.g. through CKN) and related computer programs, and use of and access to library and knowledge centre services Manage and contribute to web publishing for the Library and Knowledge Centre intranet site (QHEPS) and the internet sites utilising web management content systems, e.g. Teamsite, Libguides, Sharepoint, etc. Provide appropriate technical support and advice for library and information systems to ensure effective service delivery for Library and Knowledge Centre Ensure all library computing resources comply with current Health Services Information Agency (HSIA) and local IT procedures, standards and policies Liaise with HSIA to ensure the proactive maintenance and support of library computers desktop operating environment; e.g. password management, software versions, internet access, etc. Provide timely support for library team by conducting investigation and initial analysis of technical issues Contribute to and undertake key Library and Knowledge Centre projects as directed by the Manager, Library and Knowledge Services Active participation in a working environment supporting quality human resource management principles including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under Your role, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Previous experience working in a library and information service, preferably a health or special library service Demonstrated ability to manage a document delivery service and journal collection, utilise library management systems, provide reference services, and maintain library stock Skills, knowledge and ability to instruct clients in the use of online resources such as intranet and internet sites (e.g. QHEPS intranet), specialist library resources (e.g. CKN online clinical resources), computer programs and on accessing library services Demonstrated knowledge, or ability to learn quickly, web publishing using web content management systems (CMS), editing for online publishing, and ability to gain Queensland Health web publisher accreditation High level of interpersonal and communication skills; in particular the ability to work as part of a team within a cross cultural and multi-disciplinary environment and also with limited supervision Sound organisational and problem solving skills and abilities Experience in identifying and resolving information and communication technology related issues in a library service delivery setting - 3 -
