Thanksgiving Luncheon will consist of a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and door prizes. Gather your friends and bring them over to what is sure to be the best luncheon ever! Everyone welcome. ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON Our annual Christmas luncheon will be coming up in December (date to be determined) Lunch will be served at 11:30 A.M. followed by a visit and gift from Santa! Everyone is welcome to attend this holiday party! Senior Meals On Wheels will be providing this wonderful dinner! Tickets must be purchased in advance, space will be limited. Date: To be determined Time: 11:30 A.M. Incl udes: Dinner, door prizes, visit and gift from Santa LIGHTNING CEREMONY The Hazel Park Viking Ice Arena will be hosting our annual Lighting Ceremony on November 22, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. Join us, the High School and Jr. High Choirs and High School Band to welcome the Christmas season and the arrival of Santa. Visit Santa and enjoy free ice skating afterwards! MGM Grand Detroit Join us for a fun filled trip to the Casino Friday December 9, 2016! Trip includes transportation only. Departure time is 10 A.M. Cost is $3 per person.

Van service inf ormat ion: Th City of Hazel Park in cooperation with SMART offers transportation services to Hazel Park residents who are ages 60 or older with no other means of transportation and to the physically handicapped of any age. Rides offered between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Rides must be made at least 2 days in advance; call to verify transportation service area. The fee is $3.00 round trip. For further information, call 248-547-5535 for a list of rules and necessary medical forms that must be completed prior the use of transportation services. ONGOING PROGRAMS AT THE CENTER... Lunch is served Monday - Thursday at 11:00 a.m. There is a $3.50 per meal requested donation. Meals are courtesy of Senior Meals On Wheels. Bingo is played every Wednesday after lunch. Prizes are donated pastries, chips, and one winner will receive a free lunch for the day. Cards are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Our Activity room is available for walking indoors during the Winter and Summer. Birthdays are celebrated in the evening on the 2nd Thursday monthly during evening cards. Pizza night is on all Thursdays (except Birthday night) during evening cards. Cost for pizza is $2.00 per person.

Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Stir in food coloring. Add corn flakes cereal. Stir until well coated. Using 1/ 4 measuring cup coated with cooking spray, evenly portion warm cereal mixture. Using buttered fingers, quickly shape into individual wreaths. Dot with cinnamon candies.
