I wish to book a space on the above course (please sign) Signature... Terms and Conditions Library Membership: All customers using the Cybercentre must be members of the library. In order to obtain a library membership please bring two forms of identification with you, one of which must include your name and address and one a signature. Fees: All our courses are FREE, with the exception of the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL), price stated by each course. ECDL courses must be pre paid, bookings are unconfirmed until payment is received. Please complete the enclosed booking form and return to the Cybercentre. If you are enrolling for your first ECDL module, you must pay the registration fee to reserve your place. The module fees are payable on the first night of each module. Please make cheques payable to Dumfries and Galloway Council. Cancellation of Courses: If you cancel your course, we regret that fees cannot be refunded, however they can be transferred to another course, subject to availability. In the event of the course being cancelled by us, an alternative date will be offered. If a suitable date cannot be found, the full course fee will be refunded by cheque from the Council s Finance Department. We are not able to reimburse other related or incurred costs. ECDL Registration: When you register for ECDL, fee of 30.00, we will register you with the British Computer Society electronically. You are given a BCS number which is not transferable and therefore if you decide not to proceed we cannot refund your fee. Course Notes: All students studying the ECDL course will receive a library copy of the course book. This will require to be returned to the library.

Monday 18 July 2pm - 3.30pm Age 8 to 12 years old DG Customer Services Stranraer ECDL The European Computing Driving Licence is designed specifically for those who wish to gain a qualification in computing to enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects. It comprises of 7 modules which include word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet and e-mail. The qualification is offered on a tutor-led class basis or as a home study course. Funding may be available to help with the cost of this course. This course will commence again in the Autumn in Wigtown and Kirkcudbright but will continue throughout the summer in Stranraer. Switch It On This 4 week course is for learners with little or no knowledge. Word processing, internet and e-mail are several of the topics covered. Step It Up This 4 week course is for learners with basic computing knowledge who would like to learn more. Topics included are word processing, email, PC maintenance and working with memory sticks.
