Japanese Style Mon, Thurs, Fri [Doesn t meet on weekends or holidays!] From traditional music to J-pop, Ghibli and a wide range of music are covered and performed by using instruments like the koto, shamisen, shinobue, and taiko. Main events are on International Exchange Day and Oyo-Festival. Tea Ceremony Tues, Fri (a Tea Ceremony Teacher assists and guides the members once a month) Before knowing the world, knowing one s own culture is a must! With that goal in mind, we meet every time drinking tea and eating sweets! Yukata is worn during Oyo-Festival and Tea Ceremony is performed. Symposium Weds, Thurs (joining once a week is ok too!) A theme is decided every week and based on that members discuss and debate about the topic! Members also participate in a debate contest! Figurative Culture 2015 Record of Activity: Exhibition at Chuo Contest of Arts and Crafts Division Associations International Volunteer Tues, Fri [during Lunch break] Meet and share volunteering opportunities within or outside the country 2014 Record of Activity: Red Cross Ueno Zoo Lost Child Volunteer, MIFA, Fair Trade English (INACTIVE) Once a week Exchanging letters with students from Hawaii, having English conversations by mixing in English native teachers, etc. Q&A Q.What kind of extracurricular activity is popular? A.Any extracurricular activity is popular. The cheerleading club has accomplished achievements as a national champion. Q.Is the relationship between a senior and a junior strict in clubs? A.Regardless of grades, everyone can actively participate in a relaxed, cheerful and fun atmosphere! Q.How many times does the club take place per week? A.This is based on the club, but can range from 2-6 times per week. Sometimes, there are practices or rehearsals that take place on Saturday and/or Sunday. There are times when clubs have practices in the early morning and/or lunch breaks.

Clubs under Sports and Physical Activities have regular matches and/or practices. Liberal and Performing Arts clubs have performances inside or outside of the school. In addition, there are clubs that go on training camps together during the spring and/or summer time since effort is put into practice.
